France's Young Muslims Turn to Sharia New Opinion Poll Shows Shift to Islamism By Nick Griffin November 2025 Follow Nick on Substack Follow Nick on X Of all the countries in Europe with an Islamification problem, France is the furthest down the slippery slope. Muslims are said to make up more than 7% of the population, up from under one per cent just forty years ago. France is racing towards a fatal clash between Islamism and the Republic. Young Muslims in France are being radicalised at a rate which feeds into the narrative that – like many other Western countries – it is heading for future civil war. 575 of Muslims aged 15 to 24 believe that Sharia law should trump French legislation, up from 36% three decades ago. The same period has seen the number approving of Islamist ideas rising from 38 to 42%. Sympathy for Islamist movements has gone up from 33% to 42%. Even more dramatic is the leap in mosque attendance, from a mere 7% of young Muslims to 40% today. Strict fasting during Ramadan has jumped from 51% to 83% and the proportion of young women wearing the veil and nearly tripled. The IFOP survey was carried out for the liberal integrationist think-tank run by historian Francois Kraus. He writes that the findings point to “a process of re-Islamisation driven by younger generations. “This survey very clearly outlines the profile of a Muslim population increasingly structured around rigourist religious norms and tempted by an Islamist political project”. Kraus - whose foundation displays all the usual liberal obsessions with ‘gender’, ‘antisemitism’, and ‘integration’ - notes with alarm that “fundamentalism has won over the minds of more than one in three Muslims”, double the number who expressed such views in 1998. Why Are Young Muslims Turing to Sharia? Liberalism! Ironically, the work of liberals like Kraus is a contributing factor to this move to Sharia. Young Muslims look at the torrent of decadence, perversion, brainwashing and hypocrisy spewing out of liberal think-tanks and policies. They turn to Islam as a reaction and defence, just as more and more indigenous Europeans are reverting to traditional Christianity and nationalistic tribalism. At the same time, mainstream conservative and populist efforts to impose integration by banning symbols of Islam and community only tend to alienate Muslims and drive them inwards. Nationalists should understand this, since we know well the effect that, for example, moves by Labour councils to take down our flags have on our people. Whoever is responsible, the figures from France show that the country is falling apart into two very separate ‘tribes’. That in itself may not lead directly to civil war, but you can’t have one without it. At the very least, the increasing withdrawal of young Muslims into their own religious shell will increase the rate at which the native French do the same thing. Integration = Annihilation While liberal integrationists and the Zionist-funded civic ‘far-right’ bemoan the resulting lack of integration, genuine nationalists must welcome it. It is not separatism that threatens the long-term survival of our peoples, but miscegenation and deracination. Especially when the indigenous birth rate is through the floor, assimilation of immigrants is not a virtue, it is slow motion annihilation. In impact as well as original intention, immigration + integration = genocide. Accordingly, rather than demand that Muslims, Africans or any of them should “integrate”, we should concentrate on working within our own communities to ensure that our rate of reracination and community counter-power matches theirs. Not because we want civil war, but because an imbalance of cohesion and tribalisation – a situation in which one side is unified block while the other is a rootless, divided and hedonistic population of lonely individuals – is the most dangerous potential trigger for inter-communal violence. A desire to keep out of each other’s hair, and the mutual respect that exists between serious opponents, is the best chance of keeping the peace. In which case, constructive and legal work to organise our communities effectively will turn out to have been a thousand times more useful than anything else. Particularly time and energy thrown into making unattainable political demands, or indulging in heart-on-sleeve extremism which alienates normal people from the very people who should be leading them, and gets decent youngsters thrown into prison. As this latest news out of France reminds us, the situation is far too serious, and the time is too short, for sentimentality, misdirection or repeating efforts which have already been shown to get nowhere.
