A Society That Worships Idols Gets What It Deserves

A Society That Worships Idols Gets What It Deserves

by Pastor Andrew Isker

As the stock market is crashing, the economy is entering a recession, inflation is out of control, and gas prices in particular reach new historic highs daily, the singular goal of the occupying regime in Washington, D.C. is nationally televised hearings on the Mostly Peaceful Electoral Justice Protest on January 6, 2021.

You may be wondering, with economic disaster looming, why are those in power spending their time and energy on a protest no one really seems to care much about. Obviously, they want to treat what happened outside the U.S. Capitol that day as an abortive coup d’etat and pin it on Donald Trump in a desperate attempt to make him ineligible for election in 2024, or failing that, make him too toxic to engender the massive public support that ushered him into office in 2016.

But the ruse isn’t working. At all. Despite untold hours of breathless reporting from the regime media channels and histrionic performances from elected officials like Adam Kinzinger and AOC, the number of people who believe Trump was responsible for the Mostly Peaceful  Electoral Protest has actually dropped!

While Congressmen cowered under their seats or wore bizarre gas masks that looked like something out of a Sci-Fi b-movie, it is clear that at least some of them thought their Ceausescu moment had come—that’s how much they fear genuine protests that are not astroturfed by Soros NGOs. But the truth is, it wasn’t anything close to that, and the only people who buy the canard that “our democracy was nearly overthrown” are the same ones who believe “the 2020 Election was the most secure in history.”

These are the people who make up the base of the regime’s political power, those people who ensure that no matter how bad things get, even if we are reduced to cannibalism, when the pollster calls it is their solemn duty to make sure Joe Biden’s approval rating won’t drop much below the iron floor of 30%. But for everyone else, they can see that things have gotten really bad and are poised to get much, much worse, and they have come to the conclusion that the adults are very much not back in charge.

As popular as conspiracy theories are about a shadowy cabal that controls the world are, the people with actual political power tasked with rule are extremely stupid and incompetent. Despite what your financial advisor might tell you, things actually are different this time. Bear markets come and go, but our rulers have spent the last14 years juicing the stock market with trillions upon trillions of dollars of credit created out of thin air which has been mal-invested all over the economy, and they cannot keep creating money out of thin air without painfully noticeable inflation turning into hyperinflation.

The most brilliant economic minds our regime employs thought they could just keep printing money indefinitely and that would keep the economy booming! But the American economy is a fiction. The economic core of the country—industrial production—was hollowed out by Wall Street and their political lackeys over the last 40 years. It made Wall Street a lot of money over this time, but it has made the country poorer. Where the heartland of the United States was filled with good, bread-winning jobs that could sustain families in working class communities, now jobs like this for median American simply no longer exist.

If you can’t get a white collar email job somewhere, your best option for employment is McDonalds or Dollar General or maybe, if you are lucky, a call center. It is no coincidence, then, that Middle America is filled with utter despair. With no serious economic prospects for working-class Middle Americans, fentanyl and suicide are claiming tens of thousands of lives and a plague killing off the people our ruling class views as undesirable.

These were the conditions when the economy was booming, mind you. As we enter economic doldrums, with no end in sight for inflation (but with little hope prices will ever actually go back down), and with famine a very real prospect in much of the world, the despair will reach new heights. People will be searching for an answer.

When racial agitators and organized communists burned American cities for a summer, and the regime responded by conceding to nearly all their demands and adopting demonization of white people as public policy—very few people cared. When the sexual revolution reached it’s latest most abominable zenith, where not only are mentally ill men who think they are women allowed to demand all of society cater to their delusion, now little boys who played with a Barbie one time are having their genitals removed—only a very small segment of the population was outraged.

Such things demonstrate the hardness of heart of our entire nation. “So long as I have my streaming services and Uber Eats and pro sports, all the creature comforts I love, all that other stuff that happens to other people doesn’t really matter.” So what happens to the attitude of “Yeah, all this bad stuff is happening all around my society but I still have a pretty good life”? God takes away that affluence that allows you to be oblivious and indifferent to your enemies consuming and destroying the things you love. And God taking away the idol of wealth appears to be precisely what is coming.

What does this mean? It means stuff like the “insurrection” will look like a church potluck. January 6th happened when the economy was booming and gas was $2.41/gallon. What are things going to look like when people have to choose between their mortgage and paying a grocery bill of ramen and beans? The regime does not want Donald Trump to ever regain even the nominal political power he held from 2017-2021. They consider his extremely benign agenda of moderate reforms the American system to be completely and utterly untenable. What they do not understand is that they are sowing the seeds of economic, social, and political conditions where someone will arise who makes Trump look like the hapless Jeb Bush.

And while an American Caesar seems appealing as it costs you $200 bucks to fill up your F-150, God is not going to send a human political deliverer until there is repentance. A society drunk with the idolatry of wealth, sex, and individual autonomy is only fit to be ruled by a barely sentient sack of flesh like Joe Biden. A society that worships all that is evil, false, and ugly deserves to be dominated by the most despicable, disgusting human beings on earth.

Only the grace of God will pull us out of this mire. Only unashamed worship of the Triune God, only faithfulness to the God that has described Himself in His Holy Word will rekindle the kind of spirit that built a nation where there was only wilderness. Without returning to Jesus Christ—the God who built America—whatever reaction to this despotic regime that is mustered is doomed to fail. If you want the future of your nation to be one where there is order, peace, and fruitful work, you must bow the knee to Jesus Christ.

The Frankfurt Declaration ,The Christian Declaration of Rights

The Frankfurt Declaration

Christians around the world were stunned by the reaction of much of the Church to the unhinged, authoritarian response of governments around the world to Covid-19 and the subsequent global medical experiment performed on millions of people. Whilst churches were forced to shut for the longest period in history, businesses were made to close for no good reason, and people were mandated to cover the most visible expression of the Image of God — their faces — with useless, dehumanising bits of cloth, most of the Church was at best silent. When an experimental gene therapy product which can never complete its clinical trials was mandated at the cost of people’s jobs, reputations and livelihoods, most of the Church was at best silent. When that medical experiment was demonstrably seen to be injuring or killing huge numbers of people across the globe, most of the Church was at best silent.

Too many Christians assumed that the state had both a medical and a moral right to act as it did. On the first point, it was clear from the outset that those measures and restrictions were both unscientific and unnecessary, yet few in the church were willing to ask the questions that should have been asked. On the second point, the result was that the state took on an authority that it does not possess to regulate what can and can’t be done in worship, with much of the church apparently happy to go along with this.

That the church responded in this way is troubling enough; that few lessons have been learned — much less repentance — is even more concerning. However, wherever there is mass conformity to totalitarianism, there will always be some who emerge to challenge it, rebuke it, and shine a light in the darkness. It thrills us to report that such a statement has now emerged.

The Frankfurt Declaration of Christian and Civil Liberties is a thoroughly biblical and sound theological response to the authoritarianism and folly that has been thrust upon us, and it will hopefully serve as a wake-up call to those sections of the Church which went along with what was undoubtedly the biggest mass propaganda event in the history of the world. The purpose of the Declaration is set out in the preamble as follows:

‘A few concerned pastors from different continents, moved by an emergent totalitarianism of the State over all realms of society, and particularly the Church, and the disregard of God-given and constitutionally guaranteed rights during the Covid crisis, joined in common cause to craft a solemn declaration, which seeks to address these threats with the timeless truths of God’s Word. The following affirmations and denials, derived from biblical principles, we put forth for consideration by all Christians and relevant authorities, in the hope that this document will give light and strength for faithful witness to Jesus Christ in our day.’

The Declaration contains five short Articles, summarised below:

Article 1: God the Creator as sovereign lawgiver and judge

That God, not personal matter is the ultimate source of all things which means — amongst other things — that no earthly authority has the right to ‘define morality and require unconditional obedience to their citizens when contrary to his law’.

Article 2: God as the source of truth and the role of science

That the existence of the transcendent God is the basis for objective truth, and that science which seeks to discover this objective truth through the scientific method and debate should be endorsed, whilst that which seeks to assert truths on the basis of an alleged ‘scientific consensus’, which silences the concerns and objections of dissenting voices, and which uses fearmongering and propaganda to coerce people into submission to its dogmas, should be rejected.

Article 3: Mankind as the image of God

That humans are made in the Imago Dei, which means they have certain unalienable rights, such as the right to maintain in-person relationships, pursue lawful vocations, attend worship services, gather in public places, and be physically present at life events such as weddings and funerals, all of which the state has no authority to interfere in, nor to enforce medical coercion such as social distancing, mask mandates and vaccines.

Article 4: God-given mandates and the limits of authority

That the state’s God-given mandate is to reward good, punish evil, and to protect the God-given rights and freedoms granted to all people, and that any claim it might have to authority over all of life, including the other spheres of government which derive their authority from God (church and family), is totalitarian and must be rejected.

Article 5: Christ as the Head of the Church

That the Head of the Church is Jesus Christ, who alone governs and regulates essential acts of worship, such that any attempts to relegate worship to the area of non-essential, or to criminalise, inhibit or regulate acts of worship are to be rejected.

What particularly pleasing about this is that it is not just a ‘Christian’ or ‘Church’ declarationin a narrow sense. Rather, it recognises God’s sovereignty over all of life, not just in matters pertaining to worship, but in things like the God-given right of every person to go about their lawful business unhindered; the God-given right to take our own medical decisions; and the God-given right to meet others in person, face to face. Sadly, much of the Church has imbibed the notion that these issues are none of its business, since they are apparently not ‘Gospel issues’, yet the hindering of a person from opening his or her lawful business, for example, is actually a form of theft, and thus a ‘righteousness issue’, which is every bit the Church’s concern.

With the globalist elites moving on with their ‘You’ll own nothing and be happy’ vision of the future, this theft and authoritarianism is set to continue and expand, and those who think we are going to revert to normal are not reading the narrative. There is more to come, and Christians need to be wise to it and know how to respond. This is why this declaration is so timely and important, since it sets out the theological parameters for knowing how to understand and respond to what is happening.

It can be read and signed online at https://frankfurtdeclaration.com/ and we hope that both Christians and non-Christians will take the time to read it. May it by used by God to give His people theological clarity, understanding of the times, and the resolve to stand fast in the face of the Godless global totalitarianism taking shape around us.

Exposed: The ‘97% of scientists agree with manmade global warming’ lie

Exposed: The ‘97% of scientists agree with manmade global warming’ lie Email

President Obama is just oe of many who have made this claim: ‘Ninety-seven per cent of scientists agree: climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.’

So did President Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, when he warned of the ‘crippling consequences’ of climate change and said: ‘Ninety-seven per cent of the world’s scientists tell us this is urgent.’

Yet, in spite of the damaging effects reaching ‘net zero’ will have on Western economies, not a single politician or mainstream journalist seems to have made the effort to find out where this ‘97 per cent’ figure came from and how accurate it is.

The main author of the paper which came up with the figure was John Cook, an Australian former web programmer and blogger who later gained a PhD in philosophy at the University of Western Australia and founded what could be seen as a climate alarmist website.

He assembled a group of volunteers recruited via the website as part of a ‘citizen science’ project and tasked them with examining the abstracts of 11,944 climate papers from 1991-2011 matching the topics ‘global climate change’ or ‘global warming’. Note that the volunteers didn’t speak to any scientists and didn’t read the scientific papers. They just looked at the abstracts – a summary paragraph or two. The volunteers classified the abstracts into one of seven categories according to their opinions of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW):

1.      Explicit endorsement of AGW with quantification

2.      Explicit endorsement of AGW without quantification

3.      Implicit endorsement of AGW

4.      No position or Uncertain

5.      Implicit rejection of AGW

6.      Explicit rejection of AGW without quantification

7.      Explicit rejection of AGW with quantification

The reviewers then ‘simplified’ results into four main categories as follows:

Endorse AGW               3,896                   32.6 per cent of abstracts

No AGW position         7,930                   66.4 per cent of abstracts

Reject AGW                  78                         0.7 per cent of abstracts

Uncertain on AGW      40                         0.3 per cent of abstracts

This gave 32.6 per cent of abstracts which the reviewers concluded endorsed AGW.

Now comes the clever bit. Instead of admitting that just 32.6 per cent of papers (actually just abstracts of papers) endorsed AGW, the group removed the 7,930 abstracts which didn’t take a position on AGW. That left just 4,014 abstracts of which 3,896 (97 per cent) supposedly ‘endorsed’ AGW.

This is like doing a survey of the voting intentions of 1,000 people. You find that 90 say they’ll vote Labour, 10 say they’ll vote Conservative and the remaining 900 are undecided. You eliminate the 900 undecideds and claim that 90 per cent of voters support Labour and just 10 per cent of voters will vote Conservative. This is, of course, complete statistical nonsense as the real percentage of the sampled 1,000 voters who have said they will vote Labour is 9 per cent, not 90 per cent.

That’s not the end of the magic employed to reach that wondrous 97 per cent. The reviewers lumped together three categories of abstracts – ‘explicit endorsement with quantification’, ‘explicit endorsement without quantification’ and ‘implicit endorsement’. (Implicit endorsement means that the reviewer felt that the paper endorsed the AGW theory even though the paper didn’t do so explicitly).

In the paper claiming 97 per cent support for AGW, the reviewers don’t tell us how many papers fitted into each of these three categories, but the survey’s own database shows that of the 3,896 abstracts which supposedly ‘endorsed’ AGW, just 64 were in the ‘explicit endorsement with quantification’ category; 922 were in the ‘explicit endorsement without quantification’ and the vast majority – 2,910 out of 3,896 – were in the ‘implicit endorsement of AGW’ category.

Thus only 986 of 11,944 – that’s just 8.2 per cent – of abstracts explicitly said they agreed with the theory of man-made global warming.

To summarise, this ‘97 per cent of scientists’ claim was based on the work of 11 to 12 volunteers, whose scientific credentials have not (as far as I know) been released and all of whom were probably firm AGW believers. Each looked at around 1,000, often quite obscure, scientific abstracts and from these documents decided whether the scientific papers (which they hadn’t read) supported the AGW theory. To claim such an approach is statistically valid is beyond farcical. To call the ‘97 per cent of scientists endorse AGW’ result ‘garbage’ could be seen as insulting to garbage.

Given the damage ‘net zero’ will do to our economies and our lives, it is incredible that not a single politician, mainstream journalist or editor seems to have had the ability or the inclination to expose the dubious origins of the ubiquitous ‘97 per cent of scientists endorse AGW’ claim.

Reversing Generational Destruction of the Family

Reversing Generational Destruction of the Family

by Pastor Andrew Isker

In the upheaval that followed the tumult of 2020, one of the many things revealed was just how miserable modern life is. The rickety house of cards that is the post-war, consumerist way of life was shown to be both incredibly fragile and unsustainable as well as a radical departure from the natural, human way of life. God did not create us to have families comprised of income-earner 1, income-earner 2, and children farmed out to strangers with maximum economic efficiency. Such a way of life sounds much more like a Soviet dystopia than wholesome Americana. And the truth is that it is, and this is a truth that the shock of 2020 forced many people to recognize.

It may have become clear to you the conflict in American society was not merely over cutting tax rates 1% or 1.3% or marginally reducing unnecessary government programs, or other mundane partisan bickering between Democrats and Republicans, but rather the conflict in America is a spiritual war. As you see hideous monstrosities like Admiral Levine and William “Lia” Thomas on your television screens, the near-daily story of yet another kindergarten teacher grooming students into transsexualism and other perversions, and now, four dozen purportedly conservative Republican representatives voting to codify the abomination of sodomarriage, this is not merely a battle over political interests, it is a battle over whether the United States of America will be under the dominion of darkness and evil or whether it will acknowledge the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, and submit to His rule and reign.

There is one side, that desires to subvert and destroy the natural and traditional ways of life that have made life worth living and enjoyable, and have given men such purpose and meaning that they are driven to conquer entire nations, invent technological wonders, or launch men into the heavens. The other side seeks to maintain such ways of life and to return to those ways of life that God established for mankind that our enemies have damaged.

For decades, Americans were born into a system where families are fractured, the bonds between mother and father and child are severed at an early age, the child is thrown into an impersonal, Soviet-style, child-rearing factory called “daycare.” They then are shuffled off to a building that often architecturally resembles a prison, where they go to public school. For many years, school may have been a place where reading, writing, and arithmetic were taught, where the teacher even began the day offering a prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ! But over the decades the veneer masking the purpose of public education from its inception has worn off, and it exists primarily as a place to groom and indoctrinate children into modern, liberal culture.

For years, many parents had no idea what went on in schools. When you are born into a system where “this is just what everyone does” you have no idea how damaging daycare and public education are to the bond between mother and child. Most people have just not known any better. Why would they? But then the lockdowns happened. Mothers were now home with their young children. Despite non-stop, multi-billion dollar propaganda campaigns to push parents to view children as burdens to their narcissistic consumption (staying home with little Susie means no brunch with the girls for me!), the way God built moms started to win out. Many mothers have begun to realize that not only is staying home with their children a wash economically with the cost of daycare, it is vastly more rewarding and meaningful than filling out spreadsheets or sending emails all day for a boss that would replace you in a heartbeat.

This isn’t just speculation, there is data behind it. A report by the State of Pennsylvania’s Independent Fiscal Office (which set out to try and figure out why there is a severe labor shortage) analyzed in this thread showed that there is a direct correlation between a drop in labor participation and the rise in homeschooling that started with the pandemic, and has continued on after parents discovered the kind of things being forced on their children (anti-white racism, homosexuality, transgenderism, etc.) as a result of the lockdowns.

And according to the report, it isn’t just the bonds between mother and young child being reforged, but also the bonds between elderly parent and child. If you have an elderly parent that is in assisted living or a nursing home, you know just how expensive that care is. Before the 20th Century, there were no nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Elderly people no longer able to care for themselves were cared for by their children and grandchildren. This is the entire point of saving an inheritance for your children, and the reason in the Bible the eldest child received a double portion (Dt. 21:17). This is the reason that Jesus denounced the scribes and Pharisees, because they nullified God’s commandment to honor your father and mother and care for them in their old age with the double inheritance by spiting them and donating their nest egg to the Temple (Mark 7:11ff). The scribes and Pharisees tradition was a rejection of God’s law, just as they rejected God’s Law in human flesh, Jesus Christ.

God had established a way of life where the generation in their prime had a duty to care for the generation that they brought into the world and a duty to care for the generation that brought them into the world. The modern way of life, which came into being after God stupendously blessed America with unbelievable prosperity after World War II, destroyed those bonds, and the generations that basked in God’s material blessings gladly renounced those duties. Why do the dirty thankless world of caring for my senile mother, changing her diaper and cleaning her up, dealing with her dementia and fits of rage, constantly worrying if she got out of the house and lost, when I can have a bunch of total strangers making just over minimum wage do that instead? Out of sight, out of mind, I have 401k contributions and expensive vacations to think about, instead.

Such an attitude is abhorrent to both biblical Christianity and the basic structure of how God made the world. He made us to love and honor our parents, even when they sometimes do not deserve it. He made us to love and want the very best for our children, even when they’ve done nothing to earn it. Dumping our children and parents off for total strangers to care for so we can make even more money is at the core of most of our social problems.

It is fashionable for Millennials to unthinkingly put the blame for all of this on Boomers because it as their generation that watched living standards, economic prospects, and sociological statistics (like marriage rates, birth rates, etc) all decline rapidly. Every Millennial and Zoomer has the Boomer relative in their ear telling them “back in my day, we just worked hard and that got me where I am” not realizing that median wages peaked in the 70s and economic prospects for regular, middle- and working-class Americans have never been better before or since. The cold hard reality is they were born into an era of prosperity and whether they had the work ethic or not, they were born on third base while thinking they legged out a triple. But the other fact is the Boomer generation really did have that work ethic. They worked extremely hard for what they have. But every virtue is also its own vice, and their motivation to work hard and maximize their income potential had a downside. Mammon became their God. Those bonds between parent and child in either direction were severed because there was money to be earned. The Boomer did a cost/benefit analysis on natural affections between parent and child and determined the duties God had laid before them could be fulfilled with more economic efficiency by others. The Boomer outsourced both sides of the Fifth Commandment and the results ever since have been disaster.

Before we are too hard on that generation, we have to recognize this is the situation they were thrust into. They were born into an era of untold prosperity, into the economic golden age of America. They didn’t ask to be any more than my generation asked to be born into an era of economic stagnation and precipitous social decay. Yes, it was a test of faithfulness the Boomer generation failed, but given my own generation’s failure at the test we have been given, we would not have fared much better. Nevertheless, rather than navel-gazing and pointing fingers at who exactly is responsible, if we are going to turn things around, we have to diagnose what went wrong. Trading the natural family for a little bit more income might seem good when the getting is good, but now that we are making bricks without straw and millennial parents have to deliver Uber Eats on top of two full-time jobs just to pay the bills, it has become clear the tradeoff was never worth it. What does it profit a man to gain a retirement home in Florida or Arizona, but lose any hope of a good life for your grandchildren?

Today, the younger generations are being forced to make harder decisions about things that matter. What we took for granted and didn’t know any better (“everybody has always had working moms! Of course you send the kids to daycare and public school!”) Is now being openly questioned by more and more people. But it is important to know what we are up against. This is, again, after all, a spiritual war. People who worship demons do not want regular people to have families. Our entire economy is designed for young people to not form families but rather be rootless, atomized consumers. Why have kids when you can go see the latest Marvel movie or throw axes at a gimmicky bar or have margaritas in Cancun? When people do eventually decide to marry and have their 1.2 children, the powers that be have so reduced the median income relative to cost of living that many people could not survive on one income even if they wanted to. And once you are in the two-income trap, it is incredibly difficult to dig out of. You are forced to make serious sacrifices in order to have a family.

But if you understand that this is not merely a question of what economic policy is better, but at its most fundamental level a spiritual war between Jesus Christ and Mammon, and that the sacrifices you make are not merely economic ones but rather spiritual ones, you will be empowered to do what you must. Staying home and raising little ones, staying home and caring for elderly, infirm parents these things are spiritual warfare against the usurious worshipers of Mammon. It is painful, but God is forcing us into undoing the curse of the Boomer generation. He is forcing us to re-forge the bonds between us and the generation that is preparing to depart this world and between us and the generation that has just entered the world. This is a death and resurrection. There is pain, but there is goodness and glory on the other end. This is how Christ tears apart the old world and remakes a new and better one. Devote yourselves to your children. Forgive your parents and show them the love and the respect God commands you to give that they might not even deserve. Do these things and Christ has promised to bless you (Eph. 6:1-3). And not only will He bless you, but through these dedicated acts of devotion He conquers the world.
