British police ordered to stop investigating ‘hurt feelings,’ delete 120,000 ‘hate incident’ records

From the Rebel News

Home Secretary Priti Patel is calling on the College of Policing to abolish the policy, preferring instead that officers focus on 'actual crimes.' The British College of Policing is facing a massive pushback for its collection of “hate incidents,” which a former police officer, Harry Miller, says is a form of “Stasi by stealth.” The policy will be completely overhauled thanks to the efforts of Home Secretary Priti Patel, who says that police should investigate “actual crimes, not hurt feelings.”

Miller and other campaigners are calling for 120,000 “hate incidents” to be deleted from police records after a court found that the College of Policing guidance, which saw tweets about transgender issues recorded as “hate incidents.” The court ruled that the records had a “chilling effect” on free speech.

Miller won a landmark Court of Appeal challenge against police guidance on the matter, Daily Mail reported. Miller, who describes himself as “gender critical” launched the lawsuit after an anonymous complaint was made about dozens of allegedly “transphobic” posts on his Twitter account regarding alterations to Britain’s gender recognition laws.

The retired police officer was visited by police at work and threatened with prosecution if he did not cease commenting on trans issues. He was told that the matter was recorded as a “non-crime hate incident.”

As detailed by the publication, “non-crime hate incidents” were introduced in 2014 following recommendations by the Macpherson Inquiry into the murder of Stephen Lawrence. The incidents are recorded as “any non-crime incident which is perceived, by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by a hostility or prejudice,” per College of Policing guidelines.

Such incidents will appear in criminal record checks for six years with no grounds for appeal.

Home Secretary Priti Patel is now calling for the College of Policing to get rid of the policy, with plans to overhaul laws on “hate incidents.” Patel told police that they should not investigate “hurt feelings” and instead focus on “actual crimes.”

Under Patel’s proposed code, enacted by an amendment to the Government’s Policing Bill, individuals will no longer have to worry about their job prospects being threatened for making comments that may be offensive, but not criminal.

“The police will always have my backing to fully investigate hate crimes, but they must do so whilst protecting the fundamental right of freedom of expression,” said Patel. “Some current practices are having a dangerous impact on free speech and potentially stopping people expressing their views. This amendment will ensure every police officer abides by a Code of Practice, approved by Parliament, when recording such allegations.”

Under the existing policy, one man ended up on police records for “racial hatred” after he whistled the Bob the Builder song at his neighbour. Other incidents include a swimming teacher who was given a police record after a child’s mother claimed her son was allowed to bang his head at the side of the pool “due to his ethnicity.” A gay man, who alleged he was ripped off by a drug dealer because of his sexuality, was also recorded as a hate incident, the Daily Mail reported.

In arguing the case, Miller’s lawyers called the College of Policing’s guidance “completely irrational.”

Toby Young, the director general of the Free Speech Union, told Mail Online that anyone who lost their job because they had a “hate incident” in their police record should now sue the police following the ruling.

Pro-Brexit commentator Darren Grimes says that “Orwellian non-crimes” are used to “stifle speech and debate.”

Grimes was visited by the London Metropolitan Police on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred after historian David Starkey appeared on Grimes’ YouTube channel to comment on the Black Lives Matter riots. Starkey remarked, “Slavery was not genocide, otherwise there wouldn't be so many damn blacks in Africa or in Britain, would there?”

While such views may be offensive to some, free speech must always be safeguarded and defended lest we become unable to criticize even the government.

Remembering the Reason for Christmas: Cosmic Implications of the Incarnation

It is usual for the Christmas season to be a joyous occasion filled with so much to appreciate. At the same time, there is a consistent and often predictable amount of voices whose sole purpose is to cause chaos and discord during these Holiest days we Christians celebrate. Of course, this happens every Christian holiday or feast, but it often comes to a fever pitch around Christmas.

We as Christians are bombarded with constant horrible and false arguments claiming various Christmas traditions are pagan or that Christmas itself or Christ himself is just a hodgepodge of pagan practices with a Jewish spin. I’m sure you’ve all had these familiar arguments With someone you know.

While I think it is useful to combat these tired statements and arguments others have done a far more thorough job than I ever could so I decided it would be best to focus on an entirely different aspect we often lose sight of in the wake of these constant demonic attacks on our faith. That Christ became Incarnate in the flesh. So let’s reflect on this for a moment.

In these final days before Christmas, it is important to remember the often cliche saying

“Remember the reason for the season” or “Christ is the reason for the season“.

All of this is true but often said in a casual robotic sense. Too often we Christians do not truly dwell on the very real and cosmic implications of that “reason” which is the birth and incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Before we can fully appreciate what happened in the incarnation we first need to understand the state of humanity which is that we live with an illness that is sin and a tyrant known as death. St. Athanasius talks about death being an all-encompassing reality for humanity something that “In ancient times before the divine sojourn of the Savior took place, even to the saints’ death was terrible…“

Death was inevitable. Life itself we were cut off from.

So God seeing our plight decided upon his own volition to take on a human nature alongside his divinity to humbly come to serve alongside his own creation.

This is the reality we experience, but this was not always the case. Jesus upon his very incarnation began to heal the divide between our image that was created in the image of God and our humanity. The Cure for the corruptive illness that was sin had been offered through his hospital, aka the Church. In St. John Chrysostom’s Sermon on the Nativity he writes beautifully the good work that was started in our Lord Jesus Christ’s birth.

“Truly wondrous is the whole chronicle of the Nativity. For this day the ancient slavery is ended, the devil confounded, the demons take to flight, the power of death is broken, paradise is unlocked, the curse is taken away, sin is removed from us, error driven out, truth has been brought back, the speech of kindliness diffused, and spreads on every side, a heavenly way of life has been ¡in planted on the earth,” -The Nativity Sermon of St. John Chrysostom

We often forget that we are not just celebrating the birth of Christ we are celebrating a cosmic shift to our reality where death no longer had a hold over us and we now had a direct connection back to partaking in the Divine nature of Christ.

For some, it’s hard for us to understand why God needed to come down and take on an earthly body? Why did Christ need to die on the Cross? Couldn’t he have just reversed all this? Why go through all this? As with all things the Saints wrote brilliantly on why the Incarnation of Christ was so important.

“…If he had spoken and undone the curse, merely in accordance with his capacity to do so, the power of he who thus issued the command would have been displayed but humanity would nevertheless have remained as Adam was before the transgression, receiving grace externally and not having it mingled with the body. For such was Adam when he was placed in paradise. In fact, perhaps humanity would have become worse because it had by now learned to transgress. So, this being the situation with humanity, if it were again deceived by the serpent, there would be again a need for God to command and undo the curse. The need would then become limitless, and humanity would remain nonetheless in slavery and liability to sin. Forever sinning, it would be forever in need of pardon and it would never be free. Being, on its own, mere flesh, it would be forever defeated by the law through the weakness of the flesh.” -St. Athanaisus (Contra Arianos)

So in short, to prevent an endless cycle, God necessarily decided to enter his own creation and through an adopted human nature he gave us a path via theosis. This all leads up to the culmination of His plans for this life. That Life itself strikes down death.

So this Christmas before we enjoy the company of our families and the joy of partaking in the small ‘t’ tradition of opening gifts, let’s take a moment to read about the birth of Christ found in the gospels. Take some time to read The Nativity Sermon of St. John Chrysostom. Take the time to dwell and teach your family the very real, cosmic, glorious, miraculous, and joyful reason for this Christmas season. That our Lord Jesus Christ entered this world giving us the greatest gift of all.

Life.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” ~Luke 2 11-14

The Great Sin by C. S. Lewis Doodle (BBC Talk 16, Mere Christianity, Bk....

ec 2021A very happy Christmas to you all. Take a moment. Could this be your biggest problem in life? 'There is one vice of which no man in the world is free; which every one in the world loathes when he sees it in someone else; and of which hardly any people ever imagine that they are guilty themselves.' What could it be? A new doodle from the pen of C.S. Lewis. You can find the book here: http://www.amazon.com/Mere-Christiani... (2:03) Pride leads to every other vice. There are three elements necessary for sin - (1) the carnal "lust of the flesh", (2) "the lust of the eye" (i.e. seeing an opportunity), but also (3) "the pride of life" to complete the snare (1 John 2:16). That is, when the voice of God says "no" to us, sin needs that proud inner statement "Why shouldn't I have it?" or "I deserve it!" to be enacted. This appeal to pride is as old as the Garden of Eden. When Satan there said "be like Gods" (Genesis 3.5), he knew it meant "be entrapped like a slave". (3:00) The proverb “two in a trade never agree” means that people involved in a particular line of business always believe that they know better than their colleagues or competitors. See the remarkable Ecc. 4.4: “And I saw that ALL toil [or "sweat"] and ALL achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless [literally the temporary smoke after you put out a candle), and a chasing after the wind” ( https://biblehub.com/ecclesiastes/4-4... ). (4:30) See Isaiah 5.8: “Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land” ( https://biblehub.com/isaiah/5-8.htm ). (7:09) See James 4.6: "But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: 'God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble'” (https://biblehub.com/james/4-6.htm). (8:26) See Psalm 16.2 “My goodness is not apart from you” (https://biblehub.com/psalms/16-2.htm). (10:50) See Matthew 25.21: "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord" (https://biblehub.com/matthew/25-21.htm). (15:03) Lewis is probably not saying that the indignity was not felt by God (or still felt), nor implying shame did not need to be corrected in glory, but the fear of shame and reproach of man did not prevent Christ from completing God’s plan to the end, and ‘drinking the cup’. ‘For the joy set before him, He *despised* [counted as nothing] the shame’ like each of us have to do ( https://biblehub.com/hebrews/12-2.htm ). (15:07) Jesus: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (https://biblehub.com/revelation/3-20.htm). (17:31) "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (https://biblehub.com/proverbs/16-18.htm). The original broadcast had the following words italicised to match the broadcast which add to understanding (shown in CAPS): “Pride is ESSENTIALLY competitive”, “The sexual impulse MAY drive two men into competition...greed MAY drive men into competition”, “how is it that people...with pride can SAY they believe in God?”, “it comes DIRECT from hell, for Pride IS spiritual cancer”, “that...chap who took a real interest in what YOU said to HIM”, and “If you DO dislike him it will be because you feel a little envious”. Song: "Humble Yourself" by 2nd Chapter of Acts, made up of sisters Annie Herring and Nelly Greisen and brother Matthew Ward.

HOW WE BECAME A SLAVE TO THE BANKERS!

HOW WE BECAME A SLAVE TO THE BANKERS!

HOW YOU BECAME A SLAVE TO THE BANKERS!

By Michael Rivero In the good old days, after George Washington and the boys won the war to free us from the bank of England's predatory and impoverishing practices, they set up a "revolutionary" economic system. The government created and issued all the public currency, spending it into circulation to purchase what the government needed, then after the currency circulated through society to fuel commerce, was taxed back to the government to balance the books.
Simple!

Click for larger image Banks existed, of course. But they were kept off to one side, and use of the banks was optional for the people of the United States. It was possible to go through one's entire life without dealing with a bank if one chose to do so.

Click for larger image This system not only reserved the choice whether to use the bank to the people, but it was a stable system, because as debt increased, the people could voluntarily choose to stop borrowing from the bank! That was one of the most important freedoms won during the revolution; the freedom to say "no" to the banks!

Click for larger image Then, in 1913, a corrupt Congress and a corrupt President changed the structure of the nation's economy and stole your freedom to say "no"! The economic system was reverted to a mirror of that same system the nation fought a revolution to be free of. The power to issue money was taken away from the government and given to the bankers and from that day onward, ALL money in circulation was created as the result of a loan at interest from the bankers to the government, to business, and to the people. There is no exception. Every dollar paid in salary, spent to purchase food or gas, or paid in taxes, began as an interest bearing loan. There is no money in circulation in the United States that did not start out as a loan at interest from the bankers at the privately-owned Federal Reserve system.

Click for larger image From that moment on, the freedom of the people to refuse to borrow from the banks and to refuse to pay interest was stripped away. To participate in the commerce of the United States at all means being forced to use money loaned at interest, to the profit of the bankers and the impoverishment of the public. Your freedom to say "no" was stolen by Congress in 1913, without your permission and before you were born.
When you have lost the freedom to say "no", when you have no choice but to pay a percentage of your earnings as interest to the bankers whether in private debt or taxes to cover the gargantuan debts by the US Government itself, you are a slave to the bankers. And because more money is owed to the bankers than actually exists, because of the interest charged on the loan that created the money, the debt-slavery is permanent! No matter how hard you work, no matter how much you sacrifice, the debt can never be paid off. The system is intentionally designed to trap the nation's population permantly in unpayable debt, to make them slaves to that debt and to the bankers. This is the purpose behind the design of the Federal Reserve, the International Monitary Fund, the European Central Bank, and indeed every private central bank issuing the public currency as a loan at interest. This is why today every nation is drowning in created debt, and slaved to the private bankers. That is the reason for ever increasing taxes and decresing benefits; to pay the bankers their unpayable interest on the public currency.
For that enslavement to succeed, your right and freedom to refuse that bank's interest-bearing money must be stripped away. The government must force you to use that private central bank's currency, loaned to you at interest, via the Legal Tender Laws. Therein lies your slave chains. You are ordered by the government, on pain of prison, to use the banker's money, and to pay the interest charged by the bankers through your taxes.
Free people have the right to say "no." Free people have a right to decide for themselves what medium of exchange they will use and to choose not to involve the bankers!
There is no freedom without the freedom to say "no." Slaves cannot say "no" when ordered to surrender the products of their labor to their masters.
You are a slave.
"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of credit. We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -- Woodrow Wilson 1919
Slavery exists only because the slaves have been taught to believe that slavery is the way the world is supposed to be. Beliefs are chains used to enslave free people. No chains of steel ever bound a human tighter than the chains made of the beliefs with which we are indoctrinated while young in the state schools and the churches.
Slaves used to be held prisoner by their belief in rule by divine right. Then the slaves regained their freedom when they realized that divine right is only an illusion created by the enslavers to trick the people into obedient servitude.
Then slaves were held prisoner by their belief in rule by chattel ownership of one's body. Then the slaves regained their freedom when they realized that one person owning another is an illusion created by the enslavers to trick the people into obedient servitude.
Today the modern slaves (that is YOU) are held prisoner by their belief in compound interest; that they owe money that never existed to repay money created out of thin air. And you modern slaves will regain your freedoms when you realize that private central banking is just another illusion created by the enslavers to trick you into obedient servitude.
Stop believing.
Cry freedom!
