A True Man of God

A True Man of God

At the end of last month, Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Church, gave a remarkable sermon in his home cathedral in Moscow, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the main theme of which was that unless Russians as a people turn to God and fill the churches, she will not prevail in the worsening conflict with the West, the Ukraine being only a small proxy battle.

While not widely seen or heard in the West, the Patriarch has emerged as a leading figurehead rallying the Russian people and speaking to them regularly about the unfolding tragedy in Ukraine, explaining it in human and spiritual terms. He is an important ally of Vladimir Putin.

The thoughtful, faithful sermon is in marked contrast to the platitudes, mush and heresy which all too often spews from the mouths of senior Western clergy. Read it carefully, and make up your own mind.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit!

"The cross for the lost is foolishness, but for the saved it is the power of God," is what the Holy Scriptures teach us today. Yurodstvo is a Slavic word, and the Russian word that corresponds to it is "madness". And what is the result, if we translate it into our modern language? "The cross for the lost is madness, but for the Saved it is the power of God."

And so it is. What is the cross? The cross is a symbol of suffering, torment, and death. And how can these terrible phenomena be attractive to man, how can they determine in a positive direction man's life? And those who do not understand the meaning of the Lord's suffering on the Cross-who did not in ancient times, and still do not today-are simply brushing aside this greatest revelation of the New Testament.

Why do we not dismiss it? Why do we accept that the cross not only brought suffering, but through suffering brought salvation? Because on the cross the greatest human feelings were revealed, and on a global scale that cannot be realized in any human person. What are these feelings, what are the manifestations of the human soul? They are sacrifice and love. And if we define the apogee of human capacity for sacrifice and love, this apogee will be the Calvary Sacrifice.

Of course, the human experience of sacrifice and love cannot reach the very saving climax that was revealed on Calvary. But the Sacrifice of Christ the Savior marks a point of reference, a certain direction of travel. Through the Cross of Christ we realize that sacrifice and love are the greatest values for man, for the fullness of his life. And at the same time, they are the greatest virtues that justify man before God, through which man atones for his sins.

We know that the Sacrifice of Calvary was a sacrifice of atonement. God accepted this terrible agony in order to atone for all the sins of the world before divine justice. Our crosses, our sacrifices, cannot be compared to what the Savior did. But on the scale of our human capacity, on the scale of each person, sacrifice and love are truly the apogee of spiritual life.

And what happens when we turn away from these values? Indeed, why should I sacrifice anything for another person? A person who denies the value of sacrifice can make many such utilitarian arguments. Why should I sacrifice something for what? But today can teach everyone, even those who fundamentally deny the possibility of sacrificing not only themselves, which is out of the question! - but at least a part of his life, his time, his material possibilities. Today may convince the one who denies the necessity of sacrifice that sacrifice brings salvation to man. And synonymous with salvation in our ordinary language is the word "happiness.

If we are able to match sacrifice with happiness, then human relationships will change, radically change. Because man always wants to get something. If you do your work, you get money; if you work well, you get a promotion; there are very few other values that attract us, so we are ready to work and even sacrifice for them! And this is what happens in our lives. Those who work well, lose their time, sometimes even risking their health, but in return for this receives and financial rewards, and promotions.

So, what about the spiritual life? Today helps us to understand that when we sacrifice ourselves, when we share our time, our material possessions, and our love with others - sincerely, not opportunistically, not out of necessity, but from the heart - then we gain a great gift from God. We become closer to God. God forgives us our sins. After all, even the law that governs human society assumes that the criminal has to atone for his guilt, and that atonement is most often imprisonment. And how can we atone for our guilt during our earthly life, lest we stand before God with our guilt? Our atonement here is sacrifice, sacrificial love, helping those who suffer. And not to be noticed by the TV cameras or to be written about in the newspapers, but to come quietly and help ...

I must tell you that a lot of people do that today. Information flows to me that doesn't get into the public domain, so I can't reveal any names, but what really amazes me is the sacrifice shown by many and many of our fellow citizens. Especially now, when such a difficult situation in Ukraine, when, in defense of our historic homeland - both Russia and Ukraine - our soldiers sacrifice their health and lives, how important it is that all our people be able to sacrifice in the name of Christ for all those who need help, who ask for it not verbally, but with their very being!

Sometimes people ask, "Well, who should I help? I look to the right and to the left - I don't see...". And here we need to pray that the Lord would open our spiritual eyes, so that we would see whom to help. In answer to prayer the Lord always opens in the most unexpected way and gives us the opportunity to show our love, our sacrifice, so that we can offer a sacrifice first of all to Him, and through this sacrifice we can receive forgiveness of sins and spiritual joy.

Once again, I want to say that today is a time when we must especially ask ourselves this life-changing question: "What am I doing?" Because what is happening today in the expanses of Holy Russia certainly darkens the hearts of many. I will not speak about myself, but with these thoughts, with this suffering, I lie down, get up, and spend the whole day, because I am the Patriarch not only of Moscow, but also of all Russia. But at the same time I believe that by the grace of God this affliction will pass, that it will not undermine the deep foundations of our coexistence, which keep the people of Holy Russia, living in Russia and Ukraine, united. I believe that the Lord will bow to mercy and the internecine strife will cease. And there, where today bewilderment, sufferings and grief, our human love to each other should appear. And in response to this love - the love of the Lord for our united people, for those who live in Russia and Ukraine, for those who live in different corners of the earth.

May the Lord strengthen all of us in faith and godliness in this very difficult time. First of all, I now appeal to those Orthodox people who believe that it is enough to visit the church once a year. And others say: visit the church, receive Holy Communion during the Lent, and that is enough. Others say: once a month is enough. Both are wrong! Sunday is given to us so that we dedicate it to God. Whoever does not want to give God a portion of Sunday, thinking that he will do something better for himself - watch TV, go for a walk, go out to visit - is deeply mistaken. "The seventh day is to the Lord your God," says God's commandment. This means that Sunday should begin with prayer. But if for some reason a person cannot go to temple (although most often these circumstances are far-fetched), then at least in the morning hours one should pray together with his family and ask the Lord for forgiveness for not coming to temple on that day. All of this is so important right now, my dear ones!

My parents survived the Leningrad blockade, and they told me about how God's churches in Leningrad were filled, how people, hungry and almost dying, flocked to the churches despite the shelling, despite the weakening of all physical strength. The temples of Leningrad were overflowing during the siege, and perhaps this prayer saved the city. I do not want to compare present times with what the people of Leningrad went through during the hardest years of the siege, but in a sense even today is a fateful time! Because many rebel against Russia, and many have become dizzy in their desire to destroy Russia, its identity, its independence, its freedom. And today we must especially strengthen ourselves in the faith, fill our churches, pray for the authorities, for the army, for our relatives and loved ones, and pray for the Orthodox Church, which in these most difficult circumstances preserves the spiritual unity of Holy Russia.

And may the Lord help us! Once again I want to say that we have lived with you until a momentous time, and in a momentous time it is necessary to renew our faith, to sharpen our consciousness and our memory, to look differently at much of what we looked at yesterday without much attention or special concern. Then our spiritual mobilization, to which I now call everyone, will also help to mobilize all the forces of our Fatherland. And it will undoubtedly help in the end to the full reconciliation of Russia and Ukraine, which constitute the common space of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Can you imagine my condition as Patriarch of All Russia, when today a brother kills his brother. Perhaps some of the bearers of extreme political views will say: here, preaching pacifism at a time when... Not pacifism, but with these words I simply testify to our common duty before God - to pray for the end of internecine strife, to do everything possible to restore fraternal relations between the two parts of united Russia, and pray also for God to deliver, especially our youth, from their lives being cut short in this internecine strife. And for that to be so, it is necessary that the fighting would cease.

And may God help us, the holy benefactors of united Russia, the venerable Kievo-Pechersk ones and the venerable fathers of numerous monasteries, including the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, in the expanses of great Russia! Let us trust in their prayers, for even their souls today are grieving and suffering for what is happening. And let us hope that through our joint efforts, without going down the road of dangerous compromises that can harm a united Russia, we will all at once move toward reconciliation and the restoration of that spiritual unity which was forged in the bosom of the united Russian Orthodox Church.

May the blessing of God abide over all of Holy Russia, over the rulers, over the spiritual leaders, over the soldiers, and over all those upon whom the peaceful and safe outcome of the present very dangerous clash between the two brotherly peoples may depend. May the Lord protect us all and strengthen us in faith, love, and single-mindedness.

Amen.

Gold & US Dollar | Money & Monetary System | Bretton Woods | End Of The Road: How Money Became Worthless

End Of The Road: How Money Became Worthless - Wall Street is being occupied. Europe is collapsing in on itself. Around the world, people are consumed by fear and anger, and one question is on everyone's lips: Is the financial crisis over, or are we headed towards economic disaster? End of the Road is a documentary that chronicles the global financial collapse. End Of The Road: How Money Became Worthless (2012) Director: Tim Delmastro Writers: Jason Spencer, Tim Delmastro Stars: Adam Fergusson, G. Edward Griffin, Mike Maloney Genre: Documentary Country: Australia Language: English Release Date: 18 August 2012 (USA) Also Known As: Χρήμα χωρίς αξία Filming Locations: USA Storyline: Wall Street is being occupied. Europe is collapsing in on itself. Around the world, people are consumed by fear and anger, and one question is on everyone's lips: Is the financial crisis over, or are we headed towards economic disaster? End of the Road is a documentary that chronicles the global financial collapse. Told in an entertaining and easy to follow style, the film tells the story of how the world came to be in such a state, from the seeds sown after WW2, to the current troubles facing us today, and to the possible future that may await us all. Some of the world's top economic minds share the hidden tale behind the mishandling of the world's finances, give insight into how bad policy and a flawed monetary system joined together to create a catastrophe, as well as sharing their own personal advice on how the average person can best prepare for their financial future. Review: "Some people apparently wrote some negative reviews about this documentary. They mention that the documentary is about propaganda from "neo-cons" and "gold dealers". This is a lie, the documentary interviews people who understand the situation and many of the people interviewed predicted economic events, because they understood the reasons. The left wing propagandists writing these negative reviews do not like these facts because they are critical of big government and central planning. The documentary contains some great information and is highly recommended if you want to learn more about the real economy. 8/10" Written by dbb79 on IMDb.com "It was interesting. Currency is so abstract and this and the '08 free fall illustrates just how convoluted it's become. I'm not sure 'ponzi scheme' is the best analogy for the global finance situation we're in. A single investment scheme and world markets regulated or controlled by governments are very different beasts. Every recession or depression brings inflation. Only time will tell how much. I'm skeptical about the insistence that gold is still the most real money. I'm no expert but it seems we've moved too far beyond that. I just wonder with the CEO of a gold selling website going on and on about it, that there's a conflict of interest and they may be inflating things to drum up gold sales. If I had money to save I might consider some gold just in case, to diversify. But if you have a gold bar and the economy completely tanks, I don't think there's much good that bar will do. It's not going to buy food." VIRGIN ATLANTIC LETS MALE PILOTS AND CREW WEAR SKIRTS AND HIGH HEELS

Virgin Atlantic is allowing male cabin crew and pilots to wear skirts and high heels and female counterparts to wear trousers, so staff can “express their true identity” at work.

Male flight attendants will be able to wear Virgin’s famous figure-hugging red skirt and heels, while women can opt for a suit with a grey waistcoat, red tie and black shoes.

The Sir Richard Branson-owned airline is dropping rules that require its employees to wear “gendered uniform options” in a UK-first for the aviation industry.

And the changes will not be limited to Virgin Atlantic staff. In a signal that the days of passengers being referred to as “Mr” and “Mrs” are coming to an end on flights, the carrier has changed its ticketing system to allow gender neutral markers.

Staff and passengers will also now have the option of wearing gender pronoun badges, and the airline’s booking system has been updated so passengers can select for themselves a gender-neutral title. All staff will now undergo mandatory inclusion training, too.

Juha Jarvinen, Virgin Atlantic’s commercial chief said the airline wanted staff “to embrace their individuality and be their true selves at work”.

He added: “At Virgin Atlantic, we believe that everyone can take on the world, no matter who they are.

“We want to allow our people to wear the uniform that best suits them and how they identify and ensure our customers are addressed by their preferred pronouns.”

Sinister Psychosis and the Remembrance of God

Sinister Psychosis and the Remembrance of God

by Fr. Zechariah Lynch

Originally published on July 21, 2022 at inklesspen.blog

The progress of technology had led and is still leading to just such a concentration and centralization of power” Aldous Huxley.

Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man”

Luke 21:34-36

Foundational to Christian living is the remembrance of God. Remembrance while waking. Remembrance while at work. Remembrance while fulfilling the duties of life. Remembrance while going to sleep. The Christian must be cultivating the remembrance of God in all things. It need not be elaborate, the believer may offer this service in the inner chamber of the heart. He may offer it in solitude or while in the midst of a multitude.

The littlest of things may serve to turn our hearts and minds to the Most-Holy Trinity. While at work, “Lord fashion me according to Your image.” While eating, “Lord feed me with true heavenly food.” While drinking, “Lord give unto me the Living Water.” Even when we encounter unpleasant situations – that insane driver on the freeway – “Lord have mercy and save us! Lord deliver our race from the evil one.” Thus, we can train ourselves to use everyday material things to lift up our minds to Heavenly things. Short prayers peppered throughout the day, these will act to cultivate in our hearts the remembrance of God.

If remembrance of God is foundational to the Christian life, then the opposing foundation of the anti-Christian life is the forgetfulness of God. The enemy seeks to use all of the cares of this life to drown the soul in forgetfulness. He seeks to lull it into a false sense of complacency or keep it occupied in constant worry and fear. He seeks to de-humanize humanity. In a state of de-humanized forgetfulness, he drives our race to the cliffs of perdition. The masses staggering forward in the darkness of forgetfulness are constantly told, “this is true freedom.” And under duress, they begin to believe it.

The devil seeks to convince man to reduce himself to bare material existence – there is nothing beyond what can be seen with physical eyes and touched with fleshly hands. Even if the possibility of something greater is admitted, it is simultaneously wiped away as “unknowable or unknown.” Thus, man frees himself of any duty to contemplate higher things – after all, the thought stirs, what is truth and how could it be actually known? The shuffling masses are well supplied with the narcotic of indifferentism. This manifests itself in the fact that they then lash out at anything that would seek to disturb what they count their calm march, which ends in the abyss.

And we are in times which demand that one confess that the abyss is the ultimate “good.” For the enemy to make such an illusion seem to be a reality, he must purge from the human consciousness any striving and longing for Eternal things. He must obliterate the remembrance of God in the heart of man. He is not able to do this through his own power, but he may use his cunning to convince man to live of his own will in such a state.

In a past article, “Mind Control, Standardized Masses, and Conditioned Reflexes,” I point out that altering the psyche of man was a foundational goal of Sovietism. The early founders of Bolshevism in Russia were strong supporters and patrons of Ivan Pavlov.

Aldous Huxley, in his work, “Brave New World Revisited,” has many very interesting admissions. Regardless of whether one thinks Huxley was trying to warn people of the goals of the elite or that he was engaging in the very typical tactic of “hiding in plain sight,” is not of the greatest concern to me at the moment. One way or another, he expresses the ideals, methods, and goals – the spirit – of the new order that seeks to take control of man.

Whatever may have happened in the early years, it seems fairly certain that torture is not extensively used by the Communist police today. They draw their inspiration, not from the Inquisitor or the SS man, but from the physiologist and his methodically conditioned laboratory animals. For the dictator and his policemen, Pavlov’s findings have important practical implications. If the central nervous system of dogs can be broken down, so can the central nervous system of political prisoners” – And for that matter those of the general population, so they would also reason – “It is simply a matter of applying the right amount of stress for the right length of time. At the end of the treatment, the prisoner will be in a state of neurosis or hysteria, and will be ready to confess whatever his captors want him to confess”

Brave New World Revisited, Harper Perennial, 2004, pg. 289

Such tactics were used throughout the Soviet system, as much historical evidence testifies. One of the most diabolical of such experiments was carried out in Communist Romania in Pitesti prison. It was simply called “Reeducation.” The modern materialist views man as but a biological machine.

Mr. Huxley continues, “But confession is not enough. A hopeless neurotic is no use to anyone. What the intelligent and practical dictator needs is not a patient to be institutionalized, or a victim to be shot, but a convert who will work for the Cause” (Ibid).

And there is a new anti-evangelism going on, one that indeed has as its goal conversion. I take the time to highlight these things so that we may be aware of the methods that are being employed. For we are told to be watchful. We cannot disallow that we are part of the human race and that we are, if not careful in Christ, susceptible to the sly tactics devised and utilized.

Turning once again to Pavlov, he learns that, on their way to the point of final breakdown, dogs become more than normally suggestible. New behavior patterns can easily be installed while the dog is at or near the limit of cerebral endurance, and these new behavior patterns seem to be ineradicable. The animal in which they have been implanted cannot be deconditioned; that which it has learned under stress will remain an integral part of its make-up”

Ibid. 289-290

It is the goal of the enemy to recondition man – his perverse imitation of Christ Jesus’ making of men “new creation” (cf. 2 Cor. 5:17) – so to make of him but an animal that is stripped of all humanity, a utilitarian object that if found of not sufficient use and practicality may be discarded with little resistance. In a multitude of ways, the uniformity of forgetfulness of God is actively being cultivated in the psyche of people.

It is very worth noting the means and methods of producing psychological stress elaborated by Mr. Huxley; the reader, I’m sure, will find much in common with the social environment that surrounds us. “Psychological stresses can be produced in many ways … it has been found that the deliberate induction of fear, rage, or anxiety markedly heightens the dog’s suggestibility. If these emotions are kept at a high pitch of intensity for a long enough time, the brain goes ‘on strike.’ When this happens, new behavior patterns may be installed with the greatest of ease” ( Brave New World Revisited, pg. 290).

This is why our world is full of what some have labeled “pseudo-ideas.” The human mind is purposely broken down and fed false ideas, we may say fantastical and self-contradicting ideas – which it then takes as some sort of reality – because in this state of constant emotional and sentimental reaction it is very easy to control.

For this to be effective, an environment of destabilization must be produced so to keep the subject in a state of anxiety, which will also stir up fear and rage. Does that sound familiar?

He continues, “Among the physical stresses that increase a dog’s suggestibility are fatigue, wounds, and every form of sickness” (Ibid). And then as if explaining events of our day, he elaborates, “Illness is even more effective than fatigue as an intensifier of suggestibility” (Ibid). As I stated many a time, the fundamental goal of covidism (yes there was a real virus, I’m speaking of the utilizing of the virus for an agenda) was primarily psychological – masks, lockdowns (applied, eased, and applied again), new social habits, and so forth. It is also why the threat of some new disease is ever in the mainstream media. Covidism proved that people, even Christians, are willing to accept a “new normal” under the threat of illness. It was priming the pump. People are willing to accept new standards of human interaction (or lack thereof) and even Christians are willing to accept the modification of worship and interaction with the Divine under the threat of an illness. Some Christians even refused the non-masked entrance into church buildings; some even willingly segregated the unvaccinated or barred them from worship. Those who would not accept the new mass psychosis were many times cut off, even by those counted as friends. What do such actions say, and have we repented and reconciled? Or has it just been easier to brush it under the carpet? Does this not indicate the danger, and on some level the potency, of what is being addressed in this article? Although it may seem at current that covidism is dormant, I bring it up because substantial ground was taken, through it, in the reconditioning of humanity. Certian mentalities were cultivated in many and are all still there.

Mr. Huxley notes, “Intense, prolonged fear broke them down and produced a state of greatly intensified suggestibility … If indoctrination is given in the right way at the proper stage of nervous exhaustion, it will work. Under favorable conditions, practically everybody can be converted to practically anything” (Ibid. pg. 291).

As covidism was losing its potency, the world was hurriedly moved into its next crisis. Somehow war was begun in a country most Americans couldn’t find on a map. And it became the great scapegoat for a plethora of global “shortages.” And let’s not forget about the use of “climate” for fearmongering. Keep the masses in a state of anxiety and worry. We must also take into consideration that when there is instability people tend to be more open to saviors.

There is undoubtedly a certain reality behind the materialist understanding of the human psyche. The methods have been implemented with great success in many places. It does at least confirm that the human mind will be conformed to something or someone.

So, what is the Christian to do? Remember God. If in situations of heightened stress we become more “susceptible,” then let us turn the constructed situations of continued crisis around us to a beneficial end. In trials and tribulations, let us turn to God. If the goal is to wear us down, then let us encourage ourselves in the Lord. The goal is to mentally weaken us, let us strengthen our minds in Christ. Ultimately, the plans of the Devil, executed through those sad persons who serve him, will all come crashing down and be destroyed.

The Scriptures admonish us, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Pet. 5:6-9).

Cast thy care upon the Lord, and He shall nourish thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to stumble. But Thou, O God, shalt bring them into the pit of destruction; blood-thirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in the Lord”

Ps. 54[55]:23-24

And then, if we remain in Christ Jesus, we may say with the righteous Joseph, “Do not be afraid, for I belong to God. But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good” (Gen. 50:20).

If in all the instability of our days, we cultivate in our hearts the remembrance of God then we will find the still path through the stormy waters. Even in all the global machinations of men, we may be reminded of God, “O Lord, this world is passing away and all its lust, only Your Kingdom abides forever! Remember me when You come in Your Kingdom!”

Counteract the psychological attack of the evil one by cultivating in your psyche the remembrance of God. May we have the sobriety to understand the tactics being used against us, so as to implement the proper spiritual defense in our Lord Jesus.

Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me … In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (Jn. 14:1; 16:33).

A prayer by St. Anatole (the Younger) of Optina:

“Deliver me, O Lord, from the deceptions of the God-hating and evil antichrist, whose coming is at hand, and shelter me from his snares in the secret desert of Thy salvation. Grant me, O Lord, strength and courage to firmly confess Thy Most Holy Name, that I may not abandon Thee because of the devil’s fear and that I may not deny Thee my Saviour and Redeemer, nor Thy Holy Church. But grant me, O Lord, cries and tears for my sins, and spare me in the hour of Thy dread judgment.

Amen

Every Christian is a Christian Nationalist

Every Christian is a Christian Nationalist

by E. Wils

Despite Christians instructing the magistrate on how they must govern to honor God being the historic protestant position of political theory, many have attempted to malign Christians with the label of “Chrisitian Nationalist” in an attempt to disarm them from public discourse on politics. This term has scared many Christians and caused them to reject Christian Nationalism. This article will respond to some of the major concerns many Christians have with what they perceive Christian Nationalism to be.

Christian nationalism can be summarized by this: God instituted governments to promote good and punish evil and it is a duty of the Christian to inform the magistrate of what God calls good and evil. This is because Romans 13 details that the government is established by God and is His minister. Uncoincidentally, the word “minister” used here is the same word used for both deacon and servant— “diakonos”; the Christian then must inform the rulers on how they are to honor God with laws that promote good and punish evil.

Many have claimed that Christian Nationalism is about instituting a theocracy when nothing could be farther from the truth. God created three institutions, the Family, Church, and Government as distinct institutions with unique roles. The role of the government is detailed in Romans 13:3-4 as “Rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior but for evil… for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.” Governments have been ordained by God to promote good and punish evil and they do this by instituting just laws. Since good and evil are defined by God, it is the Christian’s duty to inform rulers on how laws are to honor Christ.

The distinction between Christian Nationalism and Theocracy can be made because Christian Nationalism is about enforcing the second table of the Law and not the first. When God gave Moses the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20) the laws were divided into two tables. The first table, commandments one through three, dealt with God’s relationship with mankind and proper worship. This is administered through the body of Christ with the Church. The second table of the law, commandments four through ten, deals with man’s relation to his fellow man. This is basic civil law which is the duty of the government to enact. Since Christian Nationalism is about proper enforcement of the second table of the law Christians from varying traditions can unite around it as it does not involve the institution of laws regarding proper worship.

While it has been made clear that Christian Nationalism is about instituting just civil laws, some have thrown out the accusation that Christian Nationalists want to force conversions. Only the Holy Spirit has the power to draw sinners to Himself. However, when a government’s laws are based on God’s word those who transgress them will know they have broken God’s law. The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 3:24 that “the law is our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we may be justified by faith.” The Law does not save us but it teaches us we need to be saved. This is the first step in telling people they need the Gospel as they cannot know the good news without first understanding their depravity and need for a savior. Having civil laws based on God’s word will in turn teach people they need a savior.

Christian Nationalism is not uniquely American, nor is it about spreading Americanism. God calls all the nations to honor Him. However, different nations are made up of unique people with a specific culture so it may look slightly different in the cultural context but all nations must have laws that honor God by promoting good and punishing evil. For example, Poland declared Jesus Christ as “King of Poland” on December 20th, 2016. Some nations like the United Kingdom are still monarchies which would make the process for how governments promote good and punish evil look different. This has led some to think Christian Nationalism is a threat to democracy; thankfully, in the United States, we have a Republic. Nonetheless, if by “democracy” they mean killing unborn babies, “gay marriage”, trans’ing the kids, and normalizing pedophilia then, they would be correct in their assertion that it is indeed a threat to their so-called “democracy.” This is because these heavily promoted narratives go directly against God’s law. Their highly coveted “democracy” is typically just a sleight of hand to implement the progressive agenda.

Some have claimed that being a Christian Nationalist means only caring for your own country. This has been a result of the post-war liberal consensus that the only way to properly love other nations is to first hate your own. Scripture does not tell us to love our neighbor by hating our own family, but tells us the exact opposite when the Apostle Paul states in 1 Timothy 5:8, “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Paul is saying that even the pagans take care of their own so how much worse is it that Christians don’t take care of their own? This principle can be applied at the national level as well because the nation is a large group of people with common descent and shared culture. If even non-Christian nations take care of their own, how much worse would it be for a Christian nation to not take care of its own?

Over time Christian Nationalism will result in a people and nation that develop laws that explicitly protect Christians and Christian worship. This has caused some to assert that “the Church flourished under persecution.” Christ will build His Church in any political environment because His Gospel conquers human hearts regardless of their kings. Just because the early Church suffered under persecution it is not prescribing persecuting governments to spread the Gospel. Christ said in Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of God.” This means it’s a blessing to be persecuted because it means the world identifies us with Christ. It’s a blessing to be in Christ and persecution is evidence of that blessing but Christ is not prescribing Christians to make governments that persecute them.

While it is true that the Global Church has survived and continues to survive under persecution, some environments are more hostile to the Gospel than others. This is what David Innes stated in ‘Christ and the Kingdoms of Men’ when he said:

“While civil governments can neither generate love nor coerce it, it can do what is within its sphere of competence: to protect the spiritual environment, conditions favorable to cultivating that love for God. In doing this, it is not doing the work of the Church but only removing impediments to an accommodating environment for the work.”

Since we live in a Republic it would be quite foolish to vote for our persecution; however, it is also about creating an environment favorable to the Gospel. However, we should make the distinction between prescriptive and descriptive passages in scripture about government persecution.

Conflating Christ’s heavenly Kingdom with an earthly kingdom has caused many to point out that Christ said, “my kingdom is not of this world.” This is true; however, “The statement, “My kingdom is not of this world,” relates to the origin of Christ’s kingdom, not the location. The authority and power of Christ’s kingdom are drawn from a source outside of this world– from God our heavenly Father. Christ’s headship is not of human origin but divine. Christ has authority not because the people of a nation elect Him as King but because God has given Him this authority as we see in Matthew 28:18 where Christ says, “all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”

Christ then issues the Great Commission to disciple the nations. As Pastor Andrew Isker has pointed out “the verb is “mateteusate” (disciple) and the direct object is “ethne” (nations).” This means that Christians are to teach the nations which involves teaching the magistrate. However, even those who claim this is only a call to “make disciples of individuals” the result is the same as the nations will be filled with Christians. As Christians make disciples in these nations and of these nations the natural conclusion is for Christians to end up in political seats of power, just as with Constantine. However, many Christians think Christians should not seek political power. This is quite foolish as it’s saying that it would be better for pagans to run the country. If the saints will judge angels they certainly should be able to handle affairs in this realm.

Recent events have caused some to equate the blasphemous book “President Donald J. Trump, The Son of Man – The Christ”, with Christian Nationalism. Nothing could be further from the truth and no serious Christian Nationalist is advocating this. As in Psalm 2, Christian Nationalism is the call for all rulers to kiss the Son and honor Him with how they rule. Governments and their rulers are ministers of God and subjected to Him. Statism elevates the State to God as they become the final authority.

Based on all of this, many have claimed this is no different than basic Christianity and historic protestant political theory, and in this assertion, they would be correct. However, if you believe abortion must be banned and mutilation of children with “gender transition surgeries” must be ended then you’re going to be called a Christian Nationalist. Embrace the term. We’re all Christian Nationalists now.
