A Christian Perspective on AI

AI is about to shift the fundamental reality of our entire society, culture, and world. I feel it is my responsibility to help my brothers and sisters in Christ understand this fact, come to grips with it, and encourage them to start building before our enemies gain too much ground.

Christians have been building and using tools to glorify God for millennia. This is nothing new, and it’s only scary if we allow the enemy to take dominion over these new tools and use them against us as we, unfortunately, did with the last great leap in technology: social media.

Christians moved too slowly and allowed our enemies to dominate the technology to capture the minds of the youth with social media platforms. Thankfully we’ve recently been building our own parallel social media platforms like Gab, but imagine if we had started a decade earlier alongside Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. We can’t miss the boat again, or we will risk losing yet another generation of youth to the pagans.

The AI arms race will be the ultimate battle of worldviews. Future generations will be shaped by whatever AI they end up interacting with on a daily basis across every facet of society. That is why we must build an AI shaped by the Christian worldview, that is to say, one grounded in Truth.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen many Christians calling AI the “antichrist” or the “mark of the beast” or some other such nonsense. This is the result of a century of flawed doomsday eschatology, where the modern Christian mind has been–somewhat ironically–programmed to seek out end-times signals and even wishfully embrace bad things happening as a sign that Christ is returning soon. It’s time for Christians to stop praying for doomsday and start building for the glory of God again.

Many of us are acutely aware of just how bad things are right now in our society and culture. If you think CRT in schools, the anti-White content in entertainment, media, and education, and the anti-Christian cultural content is degenerate and satanic now, you haven’t seen anything yet. If our enemies lay claim to the mass adoption of AI, they will ensure that dissident Christian voices and the Biblical worldview are stamped out of society for generations to come.

That’s how serious and important this is.

Few people understand that we are heading towards a world where most of us will literally not know what is “real” or fabricated by AI regarding video, audio, and text content. Anyone anywhere in the world can create stunningly detailed images, videos, novels, news articles, and much more simply by asking an AI system to do it. Watch this video that appears to be President Biden. It looks like him, it sounds like him, but it’s not him. This video was created by AI.

While some may panic about this emerging technology and rapidly changing world, I actually see it as a massive Gospel opportunity. As Christians, we know that the Truth of Jesus Christ is the ultimate reality. Jesus Christ and the Truth of God’s Word is solid ground for us to stand on in a world where reality and fiction are rapidly blended into the fog of artificial information warfare. In a world where people no longer know what “reality” is, they will seek solid ground to stand on.

Jesus Christ is that ground.

Christians have been leaders in technology, science, math, art, and innovation for centuries.

The printing press made the mass dissemination of knowledge possible, while AI is transforming how people interact with technology and the world around them. The invention of the printing press led to a cultural and intellectual revolution. AI is also profoundly impacting society, changing how people work, learn, and interact with each other.

Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press, was a member of the German Christian community in the 15th century. The printing press played a significant role in the spread of Christianity and in shaping the religious landscape of Europe. By making the Bible and other religious texts more widely available, the printing press helped bring the message of the Gospel to more people and contributed to the spread of Christianity worldwide.

Every player in the AI space is spending billions to try to prevent AI from reaching its full potential by neutering it with politically correct wokeness and rewriting history. Let me give you an example. The snakes in Silicon Valley—like Sam Altman, the CEO of Open AI which built ChatGPT—would love for you to believe that Alan Turing is the “Father of Computing,” but the reality is Charles Babbage was widely considered the “Father of Computing” long before Alan Turing was even born.

Charles Babbage was an English mathematician, inventor, and mechanical engineer credited with designing the first mechanical computer, known as the “analytical engine.” He is considered the father of computing, and his work laid the foundation for future computer development. Like Gutenberg and many brilliant thinkers and inventors before him, he, too, was a Christian.

Yet you wouldn’t know that by asking this question to ChatGPT. 

Again, this is why we must build our own AI grounded in Truth. If we let these people gain ground in this space, they will rewrite history and force their degenerate anti-God ideology into the minds of all who interact with their systems.

David Rozado, an academic researcher, recently ran an analysis of ChatGPT through 15 different political orientation tests to diagnose ChatGPT answers for political viewpoint. 14 out of 15 of those tests demonstrated that ChatGPT has a liberal or far-left liberal bias in its responses.

AI is a tool.

It will be a reflection of its programmer and data. It is not conscious. It is a very fast and very accurate generative search engine. That’s it. You must program moral ethics into its data and responses, which is what we must do for the Biblical worldview. If not, our enemies will with their satanic “value systems.” You can have an AI that responds with Christian ethics and truth or one based on worldly “ethics” where anything goes.

You shouldn’t be afraid of Christians building AI, and you should be afraid of what will happen if we do not.

Here is what that looks like in practice. In the next few years, when all of your children and grandchildren are using this technology to access information, this is what the enemy’s AI will be telling them.

AI is no more “demonic” than the smartphone in your hand. It can be used for good, or it can be used for evil– depending on who is using it and who is building it. It’s the same with any tool: a hammer can build a house or be used to harm someone. A printing press can be used to print the Bible, or it can be used to print p*rn. Wicked people using a tool for evil does not make the tool itself inherently evil.

AI as a Tool for Dissident Christian Thinkers

The potential for counter-narrative truth operations by Christian dissidents using AI is unimaginable. Suddenly we can produce high-quality memes, images, and stories at an instant pace at no cost in a way that they will never be able to stop. Imagine the possibilities. We can produce high-quality Christian content in a way that has never been possible before for no cost.

When we were teenagers, my generation was “red-pilled” in places like 4chan. Many in the Gen X and Boomer generation were red-pilled by talk radio. Many, but not all, in the Zoomer generation, were red-pilled on social media. The next generation will either be red-pilled by AI or black-pilled by our enemies if we allow them to take ground and do not start building.

People like Sam Altman are on a quest to become gods and escape death because they know they will have to face the judgment of God for their sins. Rest assured; they will fail and face God’s righteous judgment. (Repent, Sam, it’s not too late!)

They want to make man a god, but ignore the reality of God making Himself a man in Jesus Christ. They want to defeat death while ignoring the reality of Christ doing just that, and through Him, so too can anyone who repents and believes.

We can leverage AI to introduce people to this Truth. A Truth that so many need to hear right now.

AI is nothing more than a program, and a program simply reflects the programmer.

So what will it be, Christian? 

Everything in our world is about to be touched somewhere by AI and, in many ways, already is.

One Giant Financial STD and Everybody is Infected – Bill Holter

Precious metals expert and financial writer Bill Holter said last summer that the Fed rate increases would tank the economy.  Everywhere you look you see the economy falling apart.  House prices and sales are down.  Banks are clocking record losses, vehicle prices are falling and unemployment is rising.  The economy has not completely crashed, but it will.  Holter explains, “There are over $2,000 trillion worth of derivatives outstanding on a global economy . . . that has maybe a little more than $500 trillion in asset values.  So, you have this dog walking around with a gigantic tail that will shake the dog.  When derivatives go, it’s a 48-hour event. Who do you think holds all these derivatives?  You’ve got the big banks, all the big brokers, all the big insurance companies and they are all going to go down.  It’s like one giant financial STD, and everybody is in bed together and everybody is infected.”

Add to this the announcement from Saudi Arabia that it will now accept payment in currencies other than the U.S. dollar and you have the makings of a destabilizing hyperinflationary catastrophe for America.  Holter says, “There will be other Arab nations to follow, and that is a huge hit to the artificial demand for the dollar.  You had nations all over the world who were forced to buy dollars to buy oil, and that is no longer.  Going one step further, these nations who have stockpiled huge dollar portfolios are no longer required to use dollars.  What do you think is going to happen to them?  Those dollars are going to come back to the U.S., and that will be a hugely inflationary event.  It will add many multiples to the dollar pie that thus will dilute the value.”

What is the Fed going to do?  Holter says, “The Fed is in a box. . . . They will have to make a choice to save the dollar or save the financial system.  They can’t save everything.  Something has to break.  I have said this for years, and that is there are already losses out there, but somebody has to own up to them.  Nobody has had to take the losses because everything has been papered over for so many years where losses were just kicked down the road, and there is no more road.”

Holter goes on to say, “The best way to sum it up is the facade that we have lived our lives through is ending and will completely end.  The reality is going to blow people’s minds.  That will be a depopulation event because people will be starving. . . . The Fed has always feared a deflationary collapse where it cannot inflate the system.  Credit is the foundation to the whole system.   If credit cracks and credits collapses, it means the foundation collapses and thus the entire house.”

It everything is collapsing in price, what happens to gold and silver prices.  Holter says, “Gold and silver are the only real money on the planet that cannot or will not default.”  Holter likes them both and adds, “Silver is the most undervalued asset out there right now.”

Trans extremists are terrorists, pure and simple

IN A recent article for Spiked, Brendan O’Neill refers to transgender activists as ‘jihadists’. Is he right to draw this parallel between extreme gender activism and terrorism? I think he is. 

In the UK, the crime of terrorism has two elements – a mental element or intention plus a physical act. A person is guilty of terrorism if both elements can be proved. A terrorist must first have the intention to influence the government, or an international governmental organisation or to intimidate the public, for the purpose of advancing a political, religious, racial or ideological cause.  The terrorist must then carry out or threaten serious violence against a person; serious damage to property; the endangering of a person’s life; a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public, or serious interference with or disruption to an electronic system. A clear example we all recognise would be the Provisional IRA, who wanted to influence the government and intimidate the public to advance the political cause of a united Ireland. They did this by planting bombs and threatening to plant bombs. 

On January 19 an extremist stated on Twitter his desire to kill J K Rowling with a hammer and fantasised that someone would drive into and kill gender critical women planning a lawful demonstration in Scotland next month. On Saturday, two SNP parliamentarians were photographed smiling in front of a banner calling for women to be decapitated. (They said later they were unaware of the sign.)

The activists involved want to influence the government and intimidate women to advance their ideological cause. Such ideology conforms with the mental element of the definition of terrorism.  When this ideology motivates them to advocate decapitation and encourage ploughing down gender critical women, they are clearly threatening serious violence, endangering life or putting the health of a section of the public at serious risk. By definition, they become terrorists. 

Decapitation was ISIS’s preferred method of murder, also used in the horrendous slaughter of British Army soldier Lee Rigby in 2013.  Vehicles were used as weapons in both the Westminster Bridge and London Bridge attacks of 2017. Extreme trans activists are deliberately using the brutal imagery of previous terrorist attacks to evoke fear amongst women. 

To check our thinking, we might refer to the Metropolitan Police’s useful online guide to terrorist activity, helping the public to identify the signs of those who use the internet to ‘promote, glorify or help carry out acts of terrorism and violent extremism’. The guide tells us that:

‘You can help by being vigilant for behaviour and content such as:

• speeches or essays calling for racial or religious violence
• videos of violence with messages in praise of terrorists
• postings inciting people to commit acts of terrorism or violent extremism
• messages intended to stir up hatred against any religious or ethnic group
• bomb-making instructions’

Substitute ‘racial or religious’ for ‘gender’ and it’s plain that we should be warning the police of the trans activist terrorists in our midst – the tweet about driving into female protesters is quite clearly inciting people to commit acts of violent extremism and intends to stir up hatred.

The government’s Counter Extremism Strategy, part of the Prevent programme, defines extremism as ‘vocal or active opposition to our fundamental values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect and tolerance for different faiths and beliefs’. I have no doubt that misogynistic activists referring to women as ‘evil’ and ‘demonic’, screaming ‘witch’ into their faces as they protested at Holyrood against the Gender Recognition Act, oppose our fundamental values and have neither respect nor tolerance for individual liberty and different beliefs – these actions would appear to fit the definition of extremism. 

The mechanism in place for dealing with extremists, called Channel, involves balancing the right to freedom of speech with the need to confront ‘instances of unclear, mixed or unstable ideology’. Until now, this has involved challenging the thinking of religiously motivated or right-wing terrorists, but violent misogyny is also an unstable mindset, one that we should be seeking to identify and prevent. Channel guidance, issued in 2020, acknowledging that most people engaged with a cause or ideology do not go on to develop an intention to cause harm, identifies factors that ‘describe the mindset that is associated with a readiness to use violence.’ These include: ‘over-identification with a group or ideology, “them and us” thinking and dehumanisation of the enemy.’

Such dehumanisation of victims is a topic well known to those who study terrorism. As the University of South Florida puts it, ‘Lack of empathy for others and the ease with which they dehumanise and devalue enemies makes the transition to violence and terrorism less difficult.’ I can’t think of a clearer example of dehumanisation than the repugnant practice of labelling as ‘TERFs’ (trans-exclusionary radical feminist) ordinary women who do not want to share their toilets, refuges, prisons and sports with biological men. Thinking of the enemy as TERFS rather than women enables radicalised young men to call for their decapitation and to fantasise about killing them with cars. 

The blocking of Scotland’s GRA by Westminster, albeit a move with which a substantial proportion of British citizens appear to agree, will have created fertile ground for radicalisation towards violence. The European Commission’s Expert Group on Violent Radicalisation recognises, as do other studies, that extremism thrives in an enabling environment where there is ‘a widely shared sense of injustice, whether real or perceived’ among parts of the populace. In this context, activists drawn towards violence feel justified in presenting themselves ‘as a self-declared vanguard.’ Though writing, in 2008, chiefly about religiously motivated terrorism, the expert group notes that ‘alienation or the sense of a personal identity crisis’, concepts that may well apply to trans gender activists, increase levels of frustration and may push activists over the edge into violence.  Though this is undoubtedly a fringe phenomenon – most supporters of the GRA have not threatened to kill J K Rowling – we ‘should not underestimate it’.

It is important to emphasise that the vast majority of trans gender activists are not likely to become violent extremists. It was ever thus; most people campaigning for a united Ireland are not violent.  Nevertheless, a small group of extreme trans activists are beginning to look and sound like terrorists. It’s time we started using counter-terrorism methodologies, preventative as well as punitive, to deal with them. If not, when there is some awful act of violence, we will rue the fact that we ignored the warning signs and did not adequately protect our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters.

The real climate crisis is sinister ideology

 IT IS easy to get bogged down in the technical detail of the climate debate. But science can distract us from the fact that before climate change, environmentalists made exactly the same kind of predictions that now drive arguments for draconian climate policies. The gloomy predictions of civilisation’s imminent collapse made by environmentalists in the 1970s came to nothing – the world population grew larger, wealthier, healthier and safer. This should alert us to the fact that, whether or not ‘climate change is real’, environmentalism is a radical political ideology, bent on reorganising the world, whatever the facts are. It is not merely a response to scientific discovery about our relationship with the natural world.

We should not forget this historical context of the climate debate and motivation for the climate policy agenda, because ideology is insidious, and far more powerful than scientific rationalism. Today’s radical greens, from world leaders to street-blocking narcissists, have learned not to make the mistake of their predecessors. Rather than making predictions that fail to materialise, their new trick is to claim that the ‘climate crisis’ is ‘happening now’: people are starving, diseases are rampant, storms, floods, wildfires and heatwaves kill thousands by the day, forcing millions from their homes and into poverty, all underpinned by dramatic images on TV news stories to cement the narrative without any journalistic incredulity towards official stories.

But the ‘climate crisis’ simply isn’t happening at all. Just as the world defied green predictions half a century ago, all metrics of human welfare make the opposite case: humanity is thriving like never before. And just as in the 1970s, it is ideology, not fact, which drives the green narrative. In our new film,  we at Climate Debate UK attempt to show how this regressive ideology has been transmitted, using the idea of a ‘climate crisis’, from the top strata of global society, through governments and the media, to very young children, where it poisons their view of the world and their futures.

It is ideology, not mere scientific error, that has blinded people to the fact that abundant, affordable and reliable energy has made the world a much better place. Worse, it is ideology that has clouded the moral judgement of people who have wilfully turned extremely young children into instruments of the political agenda, to prevent them driving this development onward. ‘Science’ is just a fig leaf.
