Americans Please stop Making arses of themselves on the Scottish Vote

Trouble is with you yanks you think that every one in Scotland go,s around with blue faces saying Och Aye the Noo! The vote was attempted to be rigged by both sides , The SNP (yes) lowered the voting age, use violence against the leader of the UKIP (Libertarian Party of UK) . The question should have been should we divorce our selves from Westminster and the Edinburgh political elite. , one and the same creature. What the Scots were voting on was the Break up of the Union of the Kingdoms.
The same question placed in front of the US electorate would have been do you want the dissolution of the Union of States , NO! Do you want to divorce your selves from Sodom on the Potomac aka Washington DC , YES!
I have seen and heard to may Americans making complete arses of them selves on this question. Many of whom If i asked what about the Barnet formula or the West Lothian question would just blink mindless at the question. As I am sure the majority of Americans if you asked  them to point to Scotland on a atlas would not have a clue to where it is.
