Is Jamaica: Britain’s Future ?

Jamaica: Britain’s Future

Author: Dave Yorkshire |

For several days now, Kingston, Jamaica has been the battleground for what is nothing short of a mini-civil war between the Jamaican police and armed forces on one side and Jamaica’s gangs on the other. So far, there have been over 70 confirmed deaths during the fighting, with more to come (the government are trying to cover up the amount of civilian deaths), and civilians have been evacuated from several areas of Kingston. War broke out when police acted on an extradition order by the US for gang warlord and drug baron Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke. Three police stations have also been attacked and Prime Minister Bruce Golding has declared a state of emergency.

On the surface, it’s a simple case of criminal gangs versus the state law enforcement authorities, but all is not what it seems. Coke is the head of ‘The Shower Posse’, an ultra-violent bunch of drug-dealers and traffickers and one of the biggest gangs in Jamaica. He also happens to be based in the very heart of PM Golding’s constituency. This is no coincidence. These criminal gangs were set up in the 1970s by the rivalling Labour Party and People’s National Party, being used to intimidate and kill their rivals. Golding, the leader of the Labour Party, had resisted the US’s extradition order for nine months before caving in. Coke’s father, Lester ‘Jim Brown’ Coke, was a founder member of ‘The Shower Posse’ and mysteriously died in a fire whilst in police custody awaiting extradition to the US in 1992. Both father and son have been noted to have intimate knowledge of political corruption in Jamaica, and Golding himself was described in a US governmental report to be a ‘known criminal affiliate’ of the younger Coke.

‘What has all this to do with Britain?’ I hear you cry. Well, ‘The Shower Posse’, like all big businesses either semi-legal or criminal, is a globalist organisation, and has branches in the USA, Canada and, of course, Britain. During turf wars in America in the 80s and 90s, yardie gangs were responsible for over 1000 deaths, before stricter immigration laws reduced the problem. Yardie crime has escalated in Britain so much due to unrestricted immigration that it is now difficult to obtain government figures. In 2001, the figure for gun crimes attributed to yardie gangs was 4019. One only has to imagine what the figures are now.

In 2002, a senior superintendent with Jamaica's Special Branch, Tony Hewitt said: ‘More and more of the criminals of the Jamaican gangs are going to the UK. It seems that every time you search for a man, you hear that he is in England.’ It is currently speculated that Coke himself fled to Britain before the siege of his Tivoli home broke out.

This particular incident in Jamaica will also have ramifications in Britain. Should Coke be caught, there will be a power vacuum in the Jamaica-Britain drug trafficking industry, which inevitably means a bloody battle for control between rival gangs and internal disputes as the pecking order re-establishes itself. What we are seeing on the streets of Jamaica could be a reality on the streets of Britain sooner than you think.

In any case, this is the long-term future for Britain. The Jamaican politicians created the gangs they are now seeking to control or wipe out. One looks at the government-sponsored UAF and its fanatical violence aimed at real (as opposed to pretended) political opposition and realizes that British politics are following the same course of history as those of Jamaica.

As a last thought, and perhaps of particular interest to our American cousins that use this website, is that Golding used the law company Manatt, Phelps and Phillips to fight Coke’s extradition by the US government. Charles Manatt, the founder of the firm that has represented such global mega-corporations as Coca-Cola and Yahoo! and concentrates on finance and banking law, is a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, the Democrat Party’s king-makers, who is apparently on friendly terms with the Obamas. His daughter Michele was a White House Drugs Policy Office official. Make of that what you will.

Building Our “New Model Army” Was Never Going To Be Popular Among Our Enemies

Building Our “New Model Army” Was Never Going To Be Popular Among Our Enemies

A vital explanation of the true state of play at a defining moment in our history, by BNP Leader Nick Griffin.
Last weekend I met with the members of the Advisory Council, the party’s governing body, made up of the men and women who – with due respect to our hundreds of dedicated local officials and thousands of hard-working activists – really ‘make the BNP tick.’
We heard and discussed a number of PowerPoint presentations, delivered by key officials and outside contractors. We saw just how far our organisation has developed in recent years:
* We now have absolutely the largest number of fully paid up members in party history (we are almost through the 15,000 membership target 6 months ahead of schedule and we continue to grow rapidly). The membership drop-out rate has been reduced from a shocking 70% three years ago to just 17%. The taps are on, and we’ve finally got the plug in!
* Our Belfast call centre has already telephoned well over 3,500 of the 10,000 inquiries that came in to the party centrally (thousands more were received locally), and has signed up nearly 900 of them as members on the spot.
* Last year’s accounts – on course to be submitted to the usual intense scrutiny of the Electoral Commission in July – show a fantastic rise in central income to £1.9 Million, of which £1,600,000 was raised in donations thanks to our main expert external contractor having developed for us the most sophisticated fund-raising operation in British political history. With our regional accounts also showing a massive increase, to a very healthy £254.000 this gives us a total turnover of approximately £2.353.201.20. This means we have left UKIP and the Greens standing, and are starting to press the Lib Dems!
* On top of that, our two European Parliament seats together bring in the following income (figures rounded into approximate Sterling values):  £400,000 for staff and independent researchers; £80,000 for constituency office running costs; £80,000 ‘communications allowance’ to be spent explaining our work to our constituents.
Every penny of that Euro money is demonstrably spent on staff, offices, communications technology, office equipment and supplies, and on constituency newsletters and other advertising materials. With the fully equipped offices we also have in Brussels and Strasbourg, this means that our European successes last year have not only hugely raised our credibility and profile, but also give our campaigning efforts an extra budget of £500,000 a year. Of course, we can only use this on work directly related to our positions as MEPs, but it’s still a fantastic extra resource.
While money matters, the really important thing is what we do with it and that you can be sure we use it wisely. So just remember what our central organisational modernisation programme has achieved over the last two and a half hectic years.
Fantastic Progress
At the end of 2007 we had our main phone contact point in a pensioner’s kitchen, a stuffing machine and digital printer in our main administrator’s cramped spare bedroom, a crumbling second floor industrial unit, and half a dozen people with no business experience between them working from their homes.
One of these home workers was our membership secretary, who had to work with a crude spreadsheet that was barely fit to keep the membership records of the Dog and Duck dominoes club. It was all very worthy and well-meant, and it had been enough to bring us from having just over 1,000 members in 1999 to having  by June 2008, 8983 paid up members, but it was amateur and naive, and incapable of expanding further.
So I knew we had to change, to modernise our organisation just as we had modernised our politics. As ‘political animals’ we had known what to do to make ourselves electable and to win ourselves a place in the vocabulary and affections of millions of our fellow Brits. And as you know, together we’ve done just that.
But frankly we didn’t have a clue in terms of business-level organisation. How could we have? We’re idealists and rebels, not business advisers or top-flight managers.
Early Attempts
Not long after I was elected to lead this party (more accurately, to drag it kicking and screaming into the modern world!) I tried very hard to set up a Professional Development Team with some of our own people who had business or civil service experience. It never got off the ground.
Several years later, I held a series of discussions with Chris Green, our wonderful membership secretary at the time and a man who understood exactly what we needed to do. We agreed that he would change roles and go head-hunting for people who could form a management team under him. Tragically, Chris died just weeks into his new role, leaving a hole in our hearts and in our organisation that held us back for years.
Knowing that I am a leader rather than a manager, I tried appointing a Party (Staff) Manager and a National Organiser to oversee the key aspects of the day-to-day running of the Party. Several people have now had one or other role over recent years, most lately Emma Colgate and Eddy Butler. None of them have been able to cope.
In 2007 I invited more than a dozen long-standing activists and officials who I knew to have business experience to a conference in a small hotel near my home to discuss our organisational short-comings, brainstorm for solutions and find a group who would take on the responsibility of helping put us on a sound footing for sustainable growth.
Three of them volunteered to create a Central Management Team, which I put to work, with an initial brief of bringing our growing central staff under a bare minimum of oversight and personnel management. The CMT lasted less than six months. Staff members who refused to accept even basic moves to make them accountable and efficient rebelled. They rejected the idea of having to make an effort to work properly with colleagues who weren’t in their clique, and refused to be accountable in return for the salaries they received from our members.
This provided part of the backdrop to the troubles with Sadie Graham, Kenny Smith and others. Indeed, quite a few of the more experienced people who supported me so loyally through that period of uncertainty did so with the proviso that I should go and find a non-political administrator or at least advisor to help build and run the party machine in the future.
New Approach Vital
I realised at that point that such vital and necessarily tough and at times unpopular management would never be found in our own ranks, and that it could not be bought in on a shoe-string. It also became clear that trying to use essentially political people to do fundamentally non-political administrative and organisational work was hammering square pegs into round holes. And it was damaging both to the individuals and to the organisation. We had to get professional – and fast!
We were in exactly the same position as the forces of freedom and democracy at the end of the first year or so of the English Civil War. We had the spirit, the determination, the thirst for justice and the hunger for victory; but we lacked the discipline, the organisation and the technical know-how to match our professional opponents.
Like him or loath him, that was what Oliver Cromwell saw after the stalemate at the Battle of Edgehill, when he realised that his side’s ragtag army of “old decayed serving men and tapsters” would never be a match for the experienced military elite and foreign mercenaries fighting for Charles. So he went away to recruit a New Model Army of young idealists “who know for what they fight” – and who were drilled and trained until they were more than a match for the very best of their opponents. That, I understood, was what we must do.
So I did the only thing possible. The thing that every successful nationalist party in Europe has had to do (or should have done, because those which failed to do so have all fallen back, because their organisational base failed to grow and mature enough to support their political potential). I went looking for a man who could bring us the kind of business experience we needed. When I started that quest, I was worried that the kind of person who could do the job may well not be prepared to do it for the British National Party.
And, indeed, I was knocked back by a number of individuals and companies as I searched for the way to break out of being a £500,000 a year party – large enough to be known, large enough to attract people, but not big or slick enough to get out of the dead-end cycle of growth, organisational logjam, demoralisation, and shrinkage to the point where we could once again cope and begin to grow back to the point where we would once again choke on our own limited success.
Providential Movement
But, as many of you already know, and all will come to see, the BNP is not just a Party, it is a providential movement; we have a destiny, so things happen to us, sometimes even things that are hard to understand or even to cope with at the times, which later turn out to be for the best. Even set-backs that prevent some desperately desired breakthrough turn out to be blessings in disguise that give us the time to grow steadily and sustainably, rather than mushrooming out of control and then collapsing as is so often the fate of less well-grounded, more populist groups.
And being a movement with a destiny means that, very occasionally indeed, we find exactly the person we need to fill a crucial role, just at the right moment. A little under three years ago, we found just the man we needed. Not just to transform our fund-raising capabilities some six-fold, but also to show us how to maximise our good use of that money by creating safeguards against theft and waste. Even more valuable, the same man’s business experience and contacts meant that he was able to advise us on acquiring the systems and equipment we needed to equip the political fighting machine we have to build.
The man, needless to say, is Jim Dowson. I will leave the facts and figures for other presentations and reports we have in the offing but it is well worth spending the time to list just a few of the key things he has done for us since December 2007, during which time he has taken us from the near total lack of infrastructure set out earlier in this article to the point now where we have:
* Our own call centre;
* A Membership/Admin department utilising a state-of-the-art database which gives us unrivalled efficiency and analytical capabilities;
* A direct mail operation capable of handling 400,000 mailings per month;
* Industrial unit despatch depot;
* Dedicated treasury office;
* Reserve office now due to house of Communications & Publicity and Training Departments;
* High-tech internal telecommunications system linking all our offices, all of which are staffed by now tried and tested workers who know their jobs and know that if they do them well we will look after them - but if they let the members down, they will be shown the door.
In these, and a myriad of other ways, Jim Dowson and the skills of other professionals he can call on through his Midas Consultancy, together with input he has secured from highly talented people of our own (the professional knowledge of our Wales Regional Organiser Brian Mahoney, for example, was enormously important in the creation of our telecom system) have turned what in hindsight was an amateur shambles into a formidable machine.
That's not to say it's perfect, of course. In particular, the very act of imposing business discipline on political workers, turning former footloose and fancy free volunteers into reliable cogs in a machine, has upset a significant number of individuals who couldn't make the grade. Some of them have ‘gone rogue’ as a result, and the fall-out has sometimes made our progress less than even.
We introduced, for example, timesheets, work planners and diaries for all staff. Amazingly, some thought that such simple and basic tools for ensuring efficiency were beneath them, or realised that they would expose a suspect work ethic and fought against them tooth and nail. Why should we pay good money to people who are not good value for money? Because it's not our money we'd be wasting, it's members' money.
Prima Donnas
Several staff members and contractors worked hard, but refused to be team players. We've had to deal with talented prima donnas who think that screaming abuse down the phone or sending hysterical emails to colleagues is acceptable work practice. It is not, because it destroys communications and the teamwork on which all successful endeavours must rely.
This was part (but by no means all) of the problem with our former webmaster. However talented someone may be, if their quarrelsome attitude is damaging our team, I have to act to cut out the rogue cell before it becomes a cancer.
Where staff have shown themselves unable to cope or to understand what is  required of them, we have done everything we can to help them, train them, mentor them and, as a last resort, to move them into a role in which they can make a useful contribution.
John Walker, for example, was a good treasurer when our turnover was a few hundred thousand pounds a year. But as the figures grew larger, and our operation became more complex, he was increasingly out of his depth. This is no secret, and John freely accepts not just it, but also the fact that he initially fought very hard against the change. But it was pushed through, and he will also tell you that being prised out of his Treasury role was the best thing we ever did for him. And because he is a very loyal and steady patriot, John accepted the decision, stayed the course, and is now doing a great job developing exciting new initiative such as Radio RWB.
But with some, neither support nor reallocation has worked.
This has given me a dilemma. Do we keep a failing staff member in post, wasting members' hard-earned money and damaging the party? Or do we sack them and risk making them into personal enemies or even turning traitor and damaging the party as they seek revenge?
The same pattern has repeated itself under each manager I've taken on from within our ranks with a brief to put us on a professional footing. Time and again, the failing staff who didn't want proper management caused trouble, and won, to the detriment of the party as a whole.
Invaluable Advice
Until the last two years. With Mr. Dowson on hand to advise and assist, things have been different. Sometimes his advice has been brutal, but it has been right.
To us, there is no choice. We have a clear moral obligation to our members and donors to get value for money, to employ the best people we can find for each job, and to get rid of staff members who are not up to scratch. This is going to become even more important as government cuts bite and economy crumbles even further.
The British National Party is a power-winning machine, not a charity. We are here to save our country, not to run the political equivalent of British Leyland in the 1970s.
But this is the reason for many of the leaks and lies which have been directed against me, Jim Dowson and key members of our team who appreciate what is being done and stepped up to the mark. There is nothing here that should surprise or even really bother anyone. "Sacked employee makes unfounded allegations against former employer and manager" - the problem is as old as the hills.
Even more bitter, even more understandably, are the several people - staff, independent contractors and senior officials alike – who have been caught with their fingers in the till by Mr. Dowson. Not surprisingly, they want to get rid of him, and will tell any lie in their bid to do so.
The complaints and barefaced lies coming from such embittered individuals are, of course, only the start of the problem. Other individuals, with no direct knowledge of what actually happened, are friends of theirs - or at least knew them when they were volunteers of whom far less was expected - then wade in on their behalf. Some people just like gossip and mischief.
Others are genuinely incapable of understanding the situation which we now face. Richard Edmonds, for example, who grasped very well the need to change our constitution in order to avoid destruction at the hands of the Equalities Commission, argued at the last Advisory Council meeting that we shouldn't involve outside professional contractors at all. We should, he maintains, do everything 'in house'.
Well, he's entitled to his opinion, and I'm entitled to say that it's dinosaur stuff which, if taken seriously, would take us back to the dark ages when the BNP's administrative system was a pile of papers on a tabletop in a back room in a run-down shop in Welling, and when every time the party grew beyond about 800 members it choked on its own 'success' and collapsed in demoralised stagnation. All mainstream political parties draw on the expertise of industry professionals to further their cause, and we cannot be any different, because it is effective.
Some people just don't understand or accept the need to change. In matters of politics their innate conservatism provides a counter-balance to those who would naively argue that we should ditch our principles and chase 'acceptance' by the mass media.  But when we have to build a machine with the serious capability to grow to many times its present size, their attitude applied to matters organisational would be disastrous.
Egotistical Traitor
Then we have the egotists (both within and outside the party), only a couple of them, but very noisy. They attack me because I am a block to their own or their close friend's ambition. Here too no one should be surprised. Much of human history is about the way in which ambition can turn a man into a menace or even a traitor to his cause.
Why should the BNP expect to be immune from the age-old sight of individuals who want the top job spreading lies and hate against the man who has it? It's human nature, and we nationalists are the first to recognise that nature is often more important than nurture. Some people are just natural born schemers. That is not to excuse what they do, but to understand it makes it less bewildering.
Also queuing up to attack me and my key advisors and colleagues are the cranks. Every Hollywood Nazi crackpot from California to Vladivostok jumps at every opportunity to attack the BNP, because the success and continued advance of our healthy, human, live nationalism is a rebuke to their failure and obsession with political necrophilia.
These creatures infest the Internet, where they sit up late into the small hours fighting their sad and impotent web wars. The lies they tell and repeat leave an unpleasant taste, but the antidote is simple: Ignore them.
Unholy Alliance
Finally, and now quite blatantly in an Unholy Alliance with the most of the other malcontents we have already identified, we have our opponents on the far left.
Searchlight and their fellows has decades of experience in running a veritable Lie Factory. They understand all too well what allegations and lies bother us nationalists, and they use both the Internet and their network of informers and moles within the BNP to spread their poison and their seeds of dissension.
The shocking truth is that there is not one of the disgraceful and unfounded allegations now being thrown - either openly or behind our backs - at me and Jim Dowson that didn't first surface in Searchlight or on one of the so-called Unity blogs. Again, this is no surprise.
What is, however, a surprise, is that there are still a few self-styled 'nationalists' who think that it is acceptable to try to advance their own ambitions by regurgitating the poison first spewed out by Gerry Gable & Co. They should be ashamed of themselves. And, while genuine debate about different possible ways forward, the airing of genuine concerns, and a genuine leadership challenge from time to time, are to be welcomed, those who repeat Searchlies put themselves beyond the Pale. Every true nationalist's hand and face should be turned against them.
Unfounded Rumours
We all know that our enemies have made me the biggest target for their hatred and deceitful black propaganda campaigns since 1999 - and we all know why. Searchlight and Mr. Butler and his friends who formed the now defunct Freedom Party first started spreading unfounded rumours of financial impropriety against me ten years ago, and the attacks have only intensified as the BNP has advanced.
Over the last few years, however, two other individuals have come under heavy, sustained and equally dishonest attack.
The first is Pat Harrington, against whom Searchlight and their Useful Idiots launched a massive disinformation campaign when he emerged as the main figure pushing to turn the independent nationalist trade union Solidarity from an idea on paper into effective reality. Mr. Harrington faced a cynical and deceitful campaign to use nonsensical and unfounded allegations about unspecified 'irregularities in the accounts' to force him out of his role as a good and far-sighted leader.
The attacks were relentless. Seeing what was going on, and since an attack on any good nationalist initiative is an attack on the cause of the BNP, I involved myself in the defence. Indeed, for several months over the summer of 2007 the struggle to save Solidarity took up more of my time than any other job. The wave of attacks on Pat Harrington went on for more than two years, with character assassination being backed up with vexatious but hugely time-wasting complaints to the body that handles trade union registrations.
Fortunately, the majority of Solidarity's then tiny membership saw through what was going on, stayed loyal and weathered the storm. Today this very important weapon in the nationalist arsenal has some five hundred members, and is emerging as a real and sustained success story. Dozens of our people have kept their jobs thanks to Solidarity. Adam Walker is just the latest example. Very many more have secured justice or due compensation because of the skill and dedication of its representatives.
The Attacks on Jim Dowson
In some ways, the external and internal opposition seem to have used the attack on Mr Harrington and Solidarity as a test-run. For they have never run out an attack on anyone like they have mounted against Jim Dowson over the last year. I've never seen anything like it. And while Jim can be brusque and impatient, and while his staunchly loyalist background isn't everyone's cup of tea, and while our having to deal with failed staff members has caused its fair share of sometimes unavoidably badly timed short-term disruption, I have never seen anything more undeserved.
Why is it? Well, in small part it is because criticising "the King's evil advisors", while professing undying loyalty to the King himself, is a very old trick. A couple of years ago it was Lee Barnes. Like Lee, Jim Dowson is an easier target than me, but make no mistake, for many of those causing trouble, I am the real target.
Overall, though, the plain fact is that our enemies have seen the paradigm shift in our finances and level of operational sophistication since Jim Dowson came on the scene. To anyone who looks at the facts and the figures it should be blindingly obvious. The scale of change that I brought to the politics of the BNP is now being duplicated thanks to Jim Dowson with regard to our organisation.
That is why I value him and work with him to the point that I sometimes see even totally loyal close friends and colleagues getting jealous. And it is why our enemies are so determined now to bring us down before it really is too late. Because they know that the root and branch modernisation of the party's central administration that we have together carried out - where literally no-one else would or could have carried it out - is only just the beginning.
Two Year Goal
I have set myself a goal: Now I am going to do the same for the party machine all over the country too, and I need Jim Dowson to help me, because while I can see clearly what has to be done, I am incapable of doing it. But together, and with the formidable team we now have in place to help us, we are going to do it.
It must be pushed through in two years, to give us a further two years in which to build our challenge for a further breakthrough in the European Elections of 2014. The Europhiles are about to use the financial crisis that they and their bankster friends created in the first place as the excuse for a further massive power grab. This will openly relegate our national parliaments to county Council status, and means that the lurch to Euro tyranny can only be fought by creating a really effective rebel block in the belly of the Beast. I intend to lead that block, but first we have to win more seats. To do that, we need to up our organisational game.
This is a major reason for my decision to plan and announce I intend to step down as BNP leader (and only from that role, for I fully intend to remain massively involved organisationally and politically for as long as our members want me) at the start of 2014. Yes, at that point I - and more to the point my family - will have had 15 solid years of brickbats and heartbreak. Yes, by then I hope we will have found a future leader who is less smearable than me.
Cutting Out the Dead Wood
But, most of all, I know from the trouble we've had sorting out the party centre over the last two years that getting the rest of the organisation fit for purpose is going to cause more trouble still. Yet we all know it has to be done. We all know that there is dead wood that has to be cut out so that fresh young growth can sprout for the future.
That job cannot be done by a leader who intends to stay on for many years longer, because too many of the "old decayed serving men and tapsters," who are going to have to be gently but firmly pushed aside to make way for our New Model Army, will conceive grudges. They will go on to back the knaves who will come along and try to gather support with lies that it's all unfair or heavy-handed or unnecessary.
I can do what has to be done, but I cannot do so without making so many enemies that my presence at the top will become a destabilising factor.
This, I now see very clearly, is the very crux of my life's work. Personally, despite all the pressures and heartaches, I would love to lead the British National Party to power, to fulfil the faith of so many who so dearly hope they will one day see me enter Downing Street as Prime Minister.
But that is not what I am here to do. It is not for me to steer our good ship to final victory, but it is my duty, my honour and my burden to do the work to equip her, and recruit and train the crew, so that a good new Captain stands a fighting chance of taking her on to the end of the voyage, where waits a safe haven for our people.

MP Jobs Are Safe, But Not Those of a Million Public Sector Workers

MP Jobs Are Safe, But Not Those of a Million Public Sector Workers

By Mercia  Economists predict that up to 50,000 civil service and local authority jobs will go this year following the announcement that the coalition government intends making over £6 billion of spending cuts.
The really bad news is that these losses represent only the tip of a huge public sector unemployment iceberg which is bound to impact the private sector.
Experts predict that this year's job losses will comprise fewer than 10 percent of all public sector jobs expected to go over the next few years as the Government struggles with unprecedented levels of sovereign debt.
When Britain went into recession in the early 1990s, the national deficit was "a mere" £50 billion  even so, this cost an estimated 600,000 public sector jobs.
With the deficit conservatively estimated to be in excess of £150 billion, it will be surprising if total public sector job losses do not exceed one million between now and 2013.
This means worse services as nurses, midwives, teachers, fire fighters etc., are made redundant or their contracts not renewed.
Interestingly, with civil unrest expected to increase, commentators predict that the police service will be ring-fenced from cuts in strength.
With unemployment inevitably expected to sharply rise as a consequence of Government austerity measures, many wonder what effect public sector job losses on such a scale will have on other sectors of the economy  retailing and leisure for instance?
As an indication of the degree of Government concern it has been revealed that some 16,000 temporary staff taken on by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), specifically to handle additional administrative burdens arising out of the recession, will now not have their contracts extended.
In addition, it has been stated that the Communities and Local Government Department is to lose over 10 percent of its budget in order to achieve some £2 billion in "savings."
Much of these "savings" are in turn being spent to support the ever growing costs of job seekers' allowance and other unemployment related benefits.
The Government also intents to achieve £100 million in savings by placing IT contracts overseas, in countries such as India, where wage levels are a fraction of those here in Britain.
Bizarrely, it is also claimed that the Government intends achieving some £30 million in savings through discontinuing their £1,000 per head subsidy to employers to take on new staff.
Yet, despite the size of these proposed cuts, it is evident that they pale into insignificance compared to this country's ever-increasing (real) level sovereign debt.
This is akin to using a bucket of water to fight a blazing fire which engulfs an office block.
The elephant in the room is taxation. It is clear that with growing unemployment and a government adopting half measures in reining in public expenditure, an increased national tax burden will fall upon the declining number of people actually in employment.
Meanwhile, despite the obvious seriousness of the present economic situation, there are no plans for Westminster MPs to forgo pay and benefit increases  far less to take a reduction

Cardinal: Equating Marriage and Homosexuality in Schools is 'Harmful to Children'

'In Canada There is no Real Equality of Rights'

By John-Henry Westen

QUEBEC CITY, May 27, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – “Currently, in Canada there is no real equality of rights because children, in the mother’s womb, are not at all protected: not at all,” said Quebec City Cardinal Marc Ouellet at the May 15 Congress of Campaign Life Quebec. “We are one of the rare countries in the world, in the whole world, where children in the maternal womb have no protection at all.”
The talk gained international media attention but only for one aspect – his remarks against abortion in cases of rape.
The Cardinal, who as the Archbishop of the nation’s oldest diocese is the Primate of Canada, acknowledged: “I’m aware that sometimes people think that on all these issues maybe I should shut up.”  He stressed, however, the urgent need for Christians everywhere – including in politics and education – to speak up on matters of life and family, since the current situation regarding life and family issues presents “worrisome scenarios for the future of man.”
Ouellet showed himself unafraid even to push the hot-button issue of the French language in Quebec, stating that man-woman marriages and openness to life have enabled the French language to survive in the province.
He called on the pro-life movement to intensify their action and grow, and said he sensed that such growth is already occurring in the province.
The Cardinal had high praise for the National March for Life, organized by Campaign Life Coalition. “The atmosphere was great, really outstanding: in fact people were full of enthusiasm, and full of life,” he said.
“When you commit to life you become more alive. You become more alive, and more joyful: happier, and that’s what I saw on the faces of the children, and also of the adolescents and the youth. There was a majority of youth in this demonstration, which is great.”
In the wide-ranging address, Ouellet also condemned the “neo-colonialism” of Western nations imposing on Africa an anti-life mentality.
“Africa has an extraordinary culture of life: an extraordinary respect for life, love for children, and families," said the Cardinal. "And we want to impose on them our own schemes, our own conception of progress, specifically the progress of women. Well, let’s not fall into a neo-colonialism. Neo-colonialism: imposing our Western modes of living on cultures when we should have ourselves maintained respect for life.”
In his closing remarks, the Quebec City Cardinal raised concern about the positive presentation of homosexuality and homosexual ‘marriage’ in schools, calling it “dubious and perhaps even harmful to the children.”  With such questionable education, he said, “You are deforming conscience. You are also warping the processes of psycho-sexual and psycho-social identification processes of youth.”

Announcing the formation of the BNP Campaigns Executive

Announcing the formation of the Campaigns Executive
Nick GriffinDear Fellow Patriot,
As any good boxer will know, you only really learn and gain experience from your defeats. Well, the BNP didn't do too badly in the recent elections: we had a good showing in the General Election and a poor showing in the Local Elections.
It is a good thing that we can examine our performances in a mature way, learn from it, and plan to correct our failings. That's what we are doing.
So what went wrong in the Local Elections? Well for a start, we were totally outclassed by the modern, efficient, high-tech electoral machine put in place by the old parties, especially Labour.
Labour hired the campaign experts Blue State Digital - the people that got Obama elected - to build a sophisticated national database system which allowed them to target their supporters with precision. Thus a supporter concerned about crime got a leaflet about crime, and so on.
Plus, while BNP activists were trawling the streets knocking doors on polling day trying to get BNP voters to the polls, the Labour machine simply used their election call centres to ring their supporters repeatedly, something which saves a vast amount of time and effort.
Our previous election methods were highly advanced - five years ago - but are now unfit for purpose. We need to up our game and copy what the winners are doing...and that is what we plan to do.
Clive Jefferson has been appointed National Elections Officer, and has announced ambitious plans for our own nationwide database of supporters and for an election call centre. Clive has been tasked with winning elections once again, and he intends to do just that.
Paul Golding has been appointed National Communications Officer, and has put in place some impressive PR systems, including a database which gives us instant access to over 1 million journalists and media outlets worldwide.
Also created is the new Campaigns Executive, which includes key officers involved in media, design, IT, treasury, fundraising and elections, all together for the first time with the purpose of coordinating our electoral machine. The Campaigns Executive will meet for the first time in 2 weeks to lay the groundwork, well in advance, for next year's elections.
Rather than the dis-jointed approach we had in previous times - something which has let us down quite frankly - the Campaigns Executive will constantly coordinate and marshal the entire Party for the purpose of winning elections.
And rather than our key officers being scattered nationwide, for the first time we will be utilising an existing office complex as an 'Operations Centre'. This means that, just like the mainstream parties, come election time every key officer on the Campaigns Executive will converge on a single location and work together as a team in the same office for the duration of the campaign, providing real and instant leadership throughout.
Also based in the new Operations Centre will be our new Training Department, led by the experienced ex-military trainer Mike Howson.
Exciting stuff, and yes, a lot of work! We will bounce back from our recently electoral whipping by the Labour machine and astonish our enemies by our ability to recover, learn, organise and advance, as us Brits always do...that's my promise.
So now we need 'all hands on the pump' to bring this bold and audacious plan to fruition. Everything is being overhauled, our media department, elections, IT, propaganda, and it is all being centralised and given purpose and direction. We have the officers, the plan, now we need your help....
Everyone is understandably worn out from the recent campaign, but the struggle must go on immediately. The enemies of our country never rest, and neither must we.
We urgently need your financial backing to establish the Operations Centre as soon as possible. We need to purchase desks, computers, new software packages, telephone systems, and a whole multitude of smaller items all the way down to standing clipboards, bins and maps.
It is an ambitious plan, but we cannot establish our new elections machine without your help, and this must be done immediately.
Thanks to you, we have already established highly efficient administration centres in Belfast and Nuneaton, and look at the huge benefits these operations have brought to the Party. Now we need to establish our political headquarters, bringing all the key officers together, in order to coordinate and centralise, to the highest standards, our elections winning machine.
It is only with your help that we can do this. If you can spare £100, £50, £20 or even £10 it will ALL help immensely. Once up and running, BNPtv will be dispatched to produce a video to show our supporters what has been achieved. All BNP members will also be able to visit the new Operations Centre and see our new machine in action.
This project is urgent. Unless we pick ourselves up from the recent electoral hard knocks then we will stumble where we are. That is not good enough, we must raise our game, so join me and the new Campaigns Executive team today and donate whatever is within your ability. My thanks in advance - watch out for an update very soon.

A Study in Hypocrisy: Immigration, Mexico and Arizona

A Study in Hypocrisy: Immigration, Mexico and Arizona

Spot the Difference: The Racial Hypocrisy of Mexico and of Liberals who denigrate Arizona

As has already been reported on this Website, as it is its Sovereign right under the10th amendment of the American Constitution, the State of Arizona, has granted powers to its law enforcement officers at state and local level to crack down on illegal immigrants from across the border in Mexico. Arizona has an estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants whose presence there, echoing the presence of immigrants in Britain, has bled white the State’s education, healthcare, welfare and law enforcement provisions.
Arizona’s new laws make it a crime to be in the country illegally. (It is already a Federal crime - unlawful presence in the United States is a criminal- trespassing offense. This Federal provision is however not enforced with any kind of rigour, if at all). Legal non-citizens may now be charged in Arizona if they do not have their immigration papers to hand. And a police officer who has reasonable suspicions about an individual’s immigration status must now check it when practicable. It is now also a crime to transport or harbour illegal aliens,
Importantly, citizens may now sue the State and local government agencies if they fail to carry out their immigration responsibilities, a measure designed to cut through the political correctness engrained in these agencies, which have turned a blind eye to the immigrant takeover of some areas, turning them into illegal immigrant ‘sanctuaries.’
The Nazi State
For its pains, Arizona has been described as the ‘Nazi State by Los Angeles officials (thanks to mass immigration that city is,after Mexico City now the second biggest Mexican City in the World). Cardinal Roger Mahoney of Los Angeles described the new laws as ‘German Nazi and Russian Communist techniques.’  Arizona has been attacked and vilified by the usual suspects – ethnic pressure groups such as the Mexican –American Legal Defense and Education Fund and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. President Obama (surprise surprise) is opposed to the Arizona measures, calling them ‘misguided’ while the Democrat House speaker Nancy Pelosi called them ‘misguided and irresponsible.’ These people  represent a federal government which is making little attempt to protect the interests of  USA citizens by controlling immigration as is their duty.
Arizona's laws have also been attacked by the Mexican Government, which criticized them  saying that they could result in rights violations, racial profiling and affect cross-border relations. The Mexicans are apparently unconcerned about the fact that the flow of illegals into  Arizona is undermining relations in a way that nothing else could by causing bitter resentment amongst the citizenry, especially in economically fraught times, and encouraging the growth of murderous drug cartels and other criminality in Arizona. It seems to think that Arizona has no right to drum out people who come into it as law breakers.
The Non-Nazi State
But what attitude does Mexico take to immigrants into its territory? The USA newspaper ‘Human Events’ for which Anne Coulter writes reports that these include the barring of foreigners if they
1) ‘upset the equilibrium of the national demographics.’  (!!!!)
2) do not enhance the country’s ‘economic or national interests’
3) are not found to be physically or mentally healthy
4) show contempt against national sovereignity or security
5) are economic burdens on society
6) do not have clean criminal histories
Further, those seeking Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide for their own healthcare.
Illegal entry into Mexico is a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment. Document fraud is subject to fines and imprisonment as is alien marriage fraud.  Evading deportation is a serious crime. Illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by ten years imprisonment. Foreigners may be expelled at any time without legal redress.
Mexican officials at all levels and the military must cooperate in enforcing immigration laws, including alien arrests and deportations. Native-born Mexicans are entitled to make citizen arrests of illegal aliens and to turn them over to the authorities. There are no protests about these immigration laws by foreigners living in Mexico because pro –illegal alien speech by outsiders is prohibited.
Spot the Difference
All these Mexican measures will strike reasonable people as eminently sensible. They will no doubt reflect that it is a great pity that they are not in place here Britain. But of course, that would be ‘Racist,’ Fascist or even ‘Nazi’, the very charges levelled by liberals at the State of Arizona. No such charges of course are levelled at Mexico. The difference is that the USA and Britain are still largely white countries whereas Mexico is not. So race explains everything – at least so far as Liberals are concerned. Ironic, isn’t it?
How Mexico treats immigrants into its territory
What about the charge by the Mexican President Felipe Calderon that Arizona was opening the door ‘to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement’?  The abuses by the Mexican government of Central American illegal aliens who attempt to cross its southern border are notorious. The Red Cross has protested against rampant Mexican corruption, intimidation and bribery schemes targeting illegal aliens who have been in Mexico for years. In 2008 Mexico launched an aggressive deportation scheme curtailing illegal Cuban immigration and human trafficking through Cancun.
No Question of an Amnesty for Immigrants in Mexico!
There is no question on the part of Mexico of a general amnesty for their illegal immigrants such as they are urging on the USA. Mexicans are urging an amnesty on the USA because Mexico has for years actually been encouraging immigration, legal or illegal into its neighbour. These immigrants remit large sums to the country they are encouraged to continue to think of as home. Immigration provides a safety valve for Mexican social and employment problems. And the Mexicans hope that migration to the USA will prove useful as a means of bringing huge swathes of that country eventually under Mexican domination, and perhaps actually into Mexico – in other words conquest by other means. Just as Moslem states see the settlement of  Europe by high breeding co-religionists as a means of bringing it to Islam.
Yes,  its our old enemy Double Standards again. White America is guilty and worthy of destruction just because it is white and successful. Mexicans who hypocritically practice the very policies they accuse Arizona of and far more rigorously are simply accepting with both hands the fruits of the self-flagellating creepiness of White  Liberal attitudes, no doubt wholeheartedy despising them the while and hardly believing their luck.
And Liberals think they are intelligent and reasonable people who are being 'caring'! You have to laugh…….

Labour Election Fraud Causes Barking Council By-Election

Press Statement: Labour Election Fraud Causes Barking Council By-Election

Election fraud committed by the Labour Party has forced its newly-elected for the Goresbrook Ward in Barking to resign and force a by-election.
The ward previously held by British National Party GLA member Richard Barnbrook, was contested by the Labour candidate while he was still a council employee. Such open party allegiance is forbidden under council rules.

The Labour candidate's employment record was uncovered as part of an ongoing investigation into election fraud in Barking being conducted by Mr Barnbrook.

“We informed the Labour Party that we would be going to court on this matter,” Mr Barnbrook said.

“Faced with the legal threat, the Labour councillor threw in the towel and resigned.”

The by-election will be held shortly and will be contested by the BNP.

“We have to be realistic about this election,” Mr Barnbrook said. “We know what happened here on 6th May and the reasons why it happened. Nonetheless, we will fight it to the best of our abilities on issues which really matter to the local people.”

* There are currently more than 50 cases of electoral fraud under investigation in Barking, mostly consisting of multiple voter registrations at identical residences.

Blackburn muslim magistrate in row over 'noisy prayers'

Blackburn muslim magistrate in row over 'noisy prayers'

A MAGISTRATE is at the centre of a noise row after prayers were broadcast over speakers at a charity event at his home.
Police attended the exclusive detached house of Zah Hussain in Meins Road, Blackburn, after complaints from neighbours.
Around 50 people were at the event which saw prayers and hymns broadcast inside the house for 90 minutes.
But some nearby neighbours said the sound levels disturbed the peace of the sunny, Sunday afternoon.
Mr Hussain, a local JP, said he and his wife were ‘very upset’ by the complaints.
It was the third year the family had staged the event, which is led by a specially-invited Imam from India, and raises money for the country’s poor.
Mr Hussain, the marketing director at a pharmaceutical firm, said: “A man turned up on my doorstep and said ‘Sunday is a Christian day. What is all this noise. We don’t want it here’.
“This is a cultural issue, not a noise issue, and it creates a sense of division.
"Being a magistrate, I know what noise pollution is and I wasn’t breaking the law.”
However, Tony and Wendy Egerton, of nearby Carrs Wood estate, described the noise as ‘horrendous’.
Mrs Egerton said: “We were trying to sit and relax. You don’t get too many days as nice as it was on Sunday.
“I rang the police and they said it was nothing to do with them, it was down to environmental health.
“We are not racist, we get on with everyone. We just wanted the peace and quiet that you expect in your back garden.”
“But it was like living outside a mosque.”
Mr Egerton said: “It is nothing to do with cultural issues.”
The couple are now to make a formal complaint to the Environmental Health department.
Another resident, who confronted the Hussains, denied telling Mr Hussain that Sunday was a Christian day.
He said: “Each to their own, but I told them that the rest of Blackburn didn’t want to hear it.”
A police spokesman confirmed they received a call about music and advised the caller to contact Environmental Health.
A spokesman for the council's Environmental Health department said no official complaint had been received.

Muslim Tokenism at the Science Museum

Muslim Tokenism at the Science Museum

By Alan Robertson The current exhibition of “Muslim inventions” at the South Kensington science museum is an absurd example of deception, misrepresentation and falsification of history in order to appease the ever growing Third World colonisation of our country.
Under the title “1001 Inventions discover the Muslim heritage in our world,” the exhibition claims to reveal all the contributions which Islam has made to civilisation.
Central to the exhibition is a model of a wooden water wheel. Please forgive the pun, but is this really so revolutionary?
Then there is a picture of a stone arch originating some 2000 years BC.
Sources show that the earliest known arches did originate in Mesopotamia, which would correspond to modern day Iraq, Syria and Turkey. However, since Islam did not arrive until 570 AD, this invention is not Muslim.
An interactive display allows viewers to browse other ancient inventions from the Muslim world.
Here you will see that coffee was apparently ‘invented’ by an Arab in the ninth century. Invented? Are they serious?
Carpets first appeared in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Middle East about 2000 BC but this is again pre-Islamic. In any case, how can carpets be an invention?
Another exhibit is entitled “naming the stars.” Only, research tells us that the Arabs translated the original names for the stars from a well-known book by the Greek astrologer Ptolemy.
While the West has sent probes into deep space, are we supposed to marvel at the fact that Muslims merely renamed the stars?
In 852 AD, a Muslim holy man jumped from a tower wearing a billowy, large cloak and lived to tell the tale.
Also, in the ninth century, Abbas ibn Firnas attempted to fly using a wing frame attached to his arms, whereupon his back was seriously injured.
Muslims apparently invented the concept of the spherical earth in the ninth century. However, the earliest known records of the concept of a spherical Earth came from Pythagoras (500 BC), Aristotle (300 BC), and in 200 BC Eratosthenes made an estimate for the circumference of the Earth.
To accredit inventions to a religion is complete nonsense. Inventions are the result of ingenuity on the part of one or more people.
Do we concern ourselves with the religion of Robert Stevenson, Thomas Edison or James Watt? No. We remember what they did for science and human development.
What is distinctly lacking in the exhibition is any modern contribution whatsoever.
In fact, what have the Arabs invented lately? The answer is not much in the last one thousand years.
Let us consider relativity, quantum mechanics, microprocessors, the television… Do any of these things come from the Arabs, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Africa or Turkey? No.
This is clearly a ’feel-good’ promotion of multiculturalism and nothing more. To advertise all over the southeast with posters proclaiming the wonder of Muslim inventions is an attempt to dull the revolutionary impulse.
Electricity, flight, motor transport and space exploration are all the result of Western endeavour.
It should never be forgotten that our forefathers in Great Britain invented many of the things that civilised the world.
In the nineteenth century, the invention of huge steam powered motors enabled us to pump fresh water to the cities, and about the same time, the sewers were developed.
The effects of our industrial revolution spread throughout Western Europe and North America during the nineteenth century, eventually affecting most of the world.
But today, many Islamic nations are stuck in the dark ages because of their corruption, religion and wars. Millions of people live in squalor with inadequate toilets and water.
The West patents hundreds of thousands of inventions a year whereas the entire Muslim world has only a handful in its entire history.
The reason for this is plain. Islam forbids creativity. It discourages resourcefulness and promotes strict observance of religion instead.
Britain has had the incredible talents of Shakespeare, Robert Burns, the Beatles and the comic geniuses of Rowan Atkinson and Monty Python. Our inventors and engineers include Faraday, Newton, Darwin and Brunel.
The first practical telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.
Frank Whittle invented the jet engine, and where would we be without Alexander Fleming, who discovered Penicillin? Possibly nowhere.
The first stored programme electronic computer called EDSAC was invented in 1949 by academics at Cambridge University. Tim Berners-Lee proposed and developed the amazing world wide web in 1990 along with Robert Cailliau.
These are just a small handful of the British contributions.
The Science Museum is publicly funded in other words, your money is being used to propagate these lies to the public in the name of diversity.

The Advances Brought to the British National Party by the Midas Consultancy

The Advances Brought to the British National Party by the Midas Consultancy

The British National Party now has at its disposal five fully equipped, staffed and paid-for offices which include a distribution centre, a call centre and an accounts office – compared to nothing two years ago and it is all due to the fundraising ability brought to the party by the Midas Consultancy, deputy leader Simon Darby has said.
simon-darbysimon-darbyWriting in the latest internal party bulletin, Mr Darby said that two years ago, the party had no offices, no official landline number, a handful of computers, scattered and untrained home-based staff, was financially struggling and very often unable to even pay wages on occasion.
Today, Mr Darby wrote, the party has “a substantial and stable fundraising income, rapidly growing membership, and in the last 11 months we have fought two of the largest national election campaigns in the party's history, and remain relatively debt free.
“How has the BNP achieved this? We have, through the Midas consultancy, raised millions of pounds, revamped our training programme, design department, media/communications department, administration, staff organisation, events management, IT department and reduced our costs by hundreds of thousands by using their procurement techniques,” Mr Darby wrote.
“The Labour Party has Barrack Obama's consultants 'Blue State Digital' - we have a pool of home-grown British talent who have certainly given Blue State Digital a run for their money. Well done to the hard working team at Midas.”
The bulletin also contains an overview of the contributions which the Midas Consultancy has brought to the BNP since 2007.
“It is normal practise for mainstream political parties to draw upon the expertise and skills of industry professionals in order to help and advance their cause,” the document reads.
“In late 2007 the BNP contracted the Midas Consultancy, an international practise headed by senior consultant Jim Dowson, to run our fundraising and administration operations. Here we provide a stock-take and a round-up of the Midas involvement with the BNP since 2007.
Fundraising
The primary involvement of the Midas Consultancy is to provide professional fundraising. Below we simply give the yearly figures raised by the Midas Consultancy on behalf of the Party. These figures speak for themselves:
2007 = £100,000 (December only)
2008 = £662,217
2009 = £1,608,321
Fundraising fees
As can be seen from the figures above, thanks to the expertise and efforts mainly of the Midas Consultancy, we have jumped from a donations income of approx £100,000 per year to a staggering £1.6 million in just over two years. For this service, our consultants have cost the party in professional fees:
Consultant fees etc. since 2007 = £165,000
Midas have raised £2,362,000 million
Leaving the BNP with £2,197,000 million
Midas is in reality cost negative
Although specialist consultants have cost the Party in fees etc £165,000 over two years in return for a fundraising income in excess of £1.5 million, the good news is that the Midas involvement with the BNP doesn’t actually cost us anything.
Thanks to a large range of cost cutting exercises, the Midas involvement with the BNP is actually cost negative. Here are just some of the Midas cost-cutting achievements:
Print costs (leaflets, magazines etc): £93,000
Reducing outgoings and expenses: £63,000
Total savings: £156,000

203,000 "Paper British" Created Last Year

203,000 "Paper British" Created Last Year

By Mercia--New figures from the Home Office have revealed that a record number of “new British” citizens were created last year, increasing by 50 percent over the previous year to an astounding 203,000 cases.
The Home Office data shows that more than half of these new “Britons” originated from the Indian sub-continent and Africa.
Bangladeshis, Indians, Pakistanis and Filipinos constituted the largest ethnic groups.
No doubt these are the "skilled" workers that Labour insists that Britain so badly needs at this time of rising mass unemployment.
Interestingly, although around 50 percent were awarded British citizenship on the basis of their length of residence in this country, a staggering 25 percent obtained their citizenship through marriage with a “British” citizen.
It is widely recognised that a significant proportion of such “marriages” are bogus, being part of a growing industry to facilitate the acquisition of much-prized British citizenship and the benefits that accrue to such.
Last year's number of applications for a British passport was the third largest since figures were first compiled in 1987.
The latest figures also illustrate the hollowness of Labour's recent “assurances” as to the scale of immigration.
Last year, some 503,000 people immigrated legally into Britain. At the same time, some 134,000 citizens left the country. This translates into a total net reduction of 13,000.
As for Labour's promises to increase the deportations of failed “asylum seekers”, they have, once again, failed miserably. The UK Border and Immigration Agency have only managed to remove some 15,000 so far this year, down five percent on the figure for the same period last year.
With both the Tories and Lib Dems determined to curry electoral favour with the huge number of migrants in Britain, it can only be a matter of time before the coalition Government formulates an amnesty of some sort.
This will pave the way for the creation of hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of new “paper British” citizens.
The British National Party has already placed on record its intention to review all grants of British citizenship awarded since 1997.

BNP Crashes Through 14,000 Membership Mark – Party Larger Than UKIP

BNP Crashes Through 14,000 Membership Mark – Party Now Larger Than UKIP

The British National Party membership figures have broken the 14,000 mark for the first time in its history, according to new figures from the party’s administration department.
As of the end of May 2010, the BNP has for the first time, over 14,000 members, an increase of 3,724 since April 2009.
This figure is very impressive, especially considering that the largest formal lapsing of non-renewing members that will be actioned at any point in the year (i.e. those with a December expiry date) has already taken place.
There were 3514 members due to renew in December 2009. Of these, 2915 renewed, 599 did not renew - that's an 83% renewal rate!
Since April of last year we have issued another 565 five-year loyalty badges.
The new 'super' integrated membership system is now fully up and running, working 'hand in hand' with the fundraising and Trafalgar Club databases. This is easier to use, faster and more professional than anything we have had access to in the past, and has totally revolutionised the central database system.
Since the 1st April 2010 we have received more than 10,000 info pack requests.
Some 6,000 of these have already been processed, added into the database and been sent information packs by the Enquiries Department. The remainder are still being added into the database.
The Call Centre, another Midas innovation, has already called 3,500 of these enquirers. 876 of these enquiries have already been converted into members at a total value of £23,890 (or an average value of £27.27 per new member).
586 of these enquiries have already donated to the party  at a total value of £17,707 (or an average value of £30.22 per donor).
Where the enquirer has joined and then donated to the party, the donation average rises to £35.20 per member.
