Peer calls for Government to repeal the
European Communities Act 1972 rather than go
“cap in hand to Brussels for permission to leave”
The
independent Labour Peer, Lord Stoddart of Swindon, has welcomed the
result of the referendum but has some strong words of advice for the
Government about how to take Britain out of the EU.
Lord Stoddart said:
“What wonderful people the British are to have resisted all the threats, the denigration of their country by their own rulers,
big business,
big bureaucracy and intervention by arrogant foreign leaders.
Despite
all this intimidation they still voted to get their country back. We
must now ensure that they are not betrayed again by their leaders.
“The
first step in this should be for the Government to introduce a bill to
repeal the European Communities Act 1972 and all its amendments.
This would give it the authority to negotiate our exit from the EU. While this Act remains in force,
we have to go on handing over vast sums of money to the EU and we are still subject to its demands.
“The
preoccupation with Article 50 of the European Treaty is a red herring
and requires the Government to go cap in hand to Brussels for permission
to leave.
We should seize the initiative and start the
process of getting our country back now, not wait months for an
interminable Conservative Party leadership contest, followed by several
years while we await permission from Brussels to leave.
The Government has the authority of the people to act and it should do so, not sit on its hands.”

Just wondered what everyone thinks of this. ?
If Boris Johnson looked downbeat yesterday, that is because he realises that he has lost.
Perhaps many Brexiters do not realise it yet, but they have actually lost, and it is all down to one man: David Cameron.
With one fell swoop yesterday at 9:15 am, Cameron effectively annulled
the referendum result, and simultaneously destroyed the political
careers of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and leading Brexiters who cost
him so much anguish, not to mention his premiership.
How?
Throughout the campaign, Cameron had repeatedly said that a vote for
leave would lead to triggering Article 50 straight away. Whether
implicitly or explicitly, the image was clear: he would be giving that
notice under Article 50 the morning after a vote to leave. Whether that
was scaremongering or not is a bit moot now but, in the midst of the
sentimental nautical references of his speech yesterday, he quietly
abandoned that position and handed the responsibility over to his
successor.
And as the day wore on, the enormity of that step
started to sink in: the markets, Sterling, Scotland, the Irish border,
the Gibraltar border, the frontier at Calais, the need to continue
compliance with all EU regulations for a free market, re-issuing
passports, Brits abroad, EU citizens in Britain, the mountain of
legistlation to be torn up and rewritten ... the list grew and grew.
The referendum result is not binding. It is advisory. Parliament is not bound to commit itself in that same direction.
The Conservative party election that Cameron triggered will now have
one question looming over it: will you, if elected as party leader,
trigger the notice under Article 50?
Who will want to have the responsibility of all those ramifications and consequences on his/her head and shoulders?
Boris Johnson knew this yesterday, when he emerged subdued from his
home and was even more subdued at the press conference. He has been
out-maneouvered and check-mated.
If he runs for leadership of the
party, and then fails to follow through on triggering Article 50, then
he is finished. If he does not run and effectively abandons the field,
then he is finished. If he runs, wins and pulls the UK out of the EU,
then it will all be over - Scotland will break away, there will be
upheaval in Ireland, a recession ... broken trade agreements. Then he is
also finished. Boris Johnson knows all of this. When he acts like the
dumb blond it is just that: an act.
The Brexit leaders now have a result that they cannot use. For them, leadership of the Tory party has become a poison chalice.
When Boris Johnson said there was no need to trigger Article 50
straight away, what he really meant to say was "never". When Michael
Gove went on and on about "informal negotiations" ... why? why not the
formal ones straight away? ... he also meant not triggering the formal
departure. They both know what a formal demarche would mean: an
irreversible step that neither of them is prepared to take.
All
that remains is for someone to have the guts to stand up and say that
Brexit is unachievable in reality without an enormous amount of pain and
destruction, that cannot be borne. And David Cameron has put the onus
of making that statement on the heads of the people who led the Brexit
campaign.

Now what we believe to be in play by these Judas Iscariots . Is the attempt to buy time, so that after the election of Bungling Boris as the new leader of the Tory party, with no doubt Gove collecting his payment in the role of Chancellor. To go to the EU to negotiate the Brexit. But only to return like Chamberlin from Munich , declaring Peace in our time. And that a excellent deal has been brokered by alleged but strongly in reality in favour of the EU tyranny , Boris. And that as the referendum was only advisory. We must now stay in in order to protect the British economy from the undoubted and DELIBERATE stock market collapses and inflation. And other malfeasant tricks they have up there sleeves to scare enough of the sheeple back into the fold.
So what must we do , as the 1st round is won but it is a fight that will go the distance. We must rally to the support Nigel Farage in his call for a General Election now. In order to form a true government that represents all the people . And to remove the puppets of the Private central Bankers and undoubtedly deliberate traitors who now sit in Parliament . And we must help our Scots brothers and sisters to see what the Globalists SNP true marxist agenda of the destruction of the Scottish people and there nation.
So by all means possible we must strike why the Iron is Hot we must put pressure on at Local and national level to call for a General Election and shine the Light of Truth on the Darkness at play in the high places in the halls of Power. EU 'Law' Is Not Our Law - VOTE LEAVE
Keep your liberties and your right to hold those in government accounatble and GET OUT of the EU
In the
Coronation Oath the monarch promises God to serve the people according to His
Law.
Hence,
under the British constitution we have the principle: 'The King must not be
under man but under God and under the law, because the law makes the king'
(Bracton - 13th century).
Thus,
under the British constitution, which has taken over a thousand years and hundreds
of thousands of deaths to establish, we have the RULE OF LAW
- that means in
Great Britain no one, not even the king, is beyond the law.
The
upshot of this is a stable nation with deep roots in justice - a powerful nation, as
history can testify.
Meanwhile,
the principle that governs the EU is anathema to our law, anathema to our
constitution and anathema our culture. The EU is governed according to the
Justinian principle: 'What pleases the prince has the force of law.'
In other
words, the EU is a dictatorship run according to the whims of 'the
prince', whoever that 'prince' might be.
Thus,
under the EU what the 'prince' says goes, and can never be beyond the law,
because the 'prince' makes up the law as he sees fit. Think of Napoleon, Hitler,
Stalin, Mao and others created by the very same forces that created the EU and
think of how much they followed the stable and secure law that governs our
nation.
As Paul
Craig Roberts says in this interview about the EU and why we should get out of
it
, 'The British fought for centuries to take law as a weapon out of the hands
of the government and make it a shield of the people. The most important part
of British history is the creation of liberty by transforming law from a weapon
in the hands of government into a shield that protects the people
.'
So, hand
our national sovereignty over to the EU and you not only deliver our nation
into the hands of an arbitrary internationalist power, you dismiss the centuries of
courage and suffering endured by millions of British men and women so that you may be free from the 'prince'.
And don't
forget, that EU 'prince' does not like you or your nation or your culture. Nor
does that 'prince' like liberty and your means to keep government in
check through the law.
So, if
you want to throw away our Common Law constitution that protects us and our
culture against the 'prince' and his unstable and random government, go ahead and vote
remain.
But if
you want rule of law, stability and liberty, and if you want the blood of your forefathers
to have any meaning at all, VOTE LEAVE - GET OUT OF THE EU! VOTE TO
GET OUT OF THE EU ON THE 23RD JUNE!
