Liberal Delusion of ‘Endless Population Growth’ is Unsustainable

The liberal delusion of ‘endless population growth’ is economically and environmentally unsustainable, as a population aiming towards 70 million, all scrabbling for decent jobs, homes, congested roads, overcrowded schools and overstretched hospitals proves, writes British National Party correspondent Maid of Kent.

Responding to the highly popular article “Not Fraud, but Demographic Reality: A BNP Supporter’s Review of the “Battle for Barking” Documentary” by fellow correspondent Edith, Maid of Kent went on to point out that the official population statistics were made up by the “liars and thieves” in Westminster and could not be trusted.

Well done "Edith" for pointing out some radical, but common sense, truths - isn't it strange that common sense and the truth seems radical these days?

Unfortunately people tend to take the latest official 'figures' on immigration and accept them, without giving any thought to the compound effect of those figures.

They hear that perhaps 1 million immigrants entered Britain between 2007 and 2010, but forget about the 1 million who entered between 2004 and 2006 and the other 1 million that entered between 2000 and 2003, and so on and so forth.

Adding all of those odd millions up, they would be astounded to find that Britain may have absorbed 15 million immigrants since 1945, with the majority from alien and incompatible countries and cultures.

People also don't realise that all of the immigrants, right from 1945 onwards, have stayed and produced families — non-British families.

So if we have had 15 million immigrants to Britain since 1945, the number of immigrant descended people in Britain today will be several multiples of this original 15 million.

No wonder that large areas of our country resemble foreign lands and even so called non-enriched areas are beginning to see a noticeable difference.

I realise that the figure of 15 million immigrants sounds exaggerated, but consider a couple of points.

First, the population of Britain 'officially' increased by more than 2 million people in the seven years between 2001 and 2008.

This is what is termed a 'net' increase, meaning that if 1 million native Britons left this country and 3 million Third World immigrants came here, the result is a 2 million net increase.

What matters to those of us left here is the end figure of 3 million immigrants from alien and incompatible cultures.

We don't see the replacement of 1 million of our native Britons with 1 million Third World immigrants as a neutral 'swap', as the traitorous politicians from the Lib/Lab/Con do.

These 'net' increase figures do not count illegal immigrants either, so this 'official 2 million “growth” could quite easily be increased by another 1 million.

Taking a longer view, Britain's population has 'officially' increased by 12 million since 1950 — again a 'net' increase which takes no account of Britons leaving their homeland.

Taking these lost Britons into account plus illegal immigrants, and the figure of 15 million immigrants is easily achieved.

Secondly, bear in mind that we are fed 'official' population statistics — fed to us by the thieves and liars who have been in Westminster for the last 6 decades — so I would recommend taking them with a pinch of salt.

When it is considered that the major supermarkets met with Tony Blair because they needed to build huge storage depots for the 80 million people living in the UK that they needed to feed, then there seems to be a large discrepancy between the 'official' population of 60 million then and the 80 million whom the supermarkets fed, a 20 million discrepancy, in fact.

Looking around me, I know whose figures I believe.

Your accurate assessment of what has happened in Barking and what will happen in the rest of Britain is spot on "Edith," and as you truthfully and painfully point out, this will happen even if immigration was totally halted today.

However, the really 'radical' idea in your post "Edith" is your accurate observation that smaller is better, smaller populations mean more for the people living in a country.

With a finite amount of resources available, fewer people in a country means that those resources are spread less thinly, which means more for everyone.

This idea is so 'radical' because it is the opposite of what people in the west have been told for many years by capitalists and their paid for political puppets in the Lib/Lab/Con parties, who have fed us their ideology of constant growth.

As we are now seeing in the west — indeed the whole world — constant growth in any area is not sustainable when we are confined to one planet.

We have seen the effects of this unsustainable constant growth in this country and have ended up with a population of 70+ million all scrabbling for decent jobs, homes and lives. Our roads are congested, our schools crowded, hospitals overstretched, all the results of 'constant growth'.

It has become more apparent that constant growth is economically unsustainable. There is a shortage of jobs for the numbers wanting them and low wages/high taxes for the employed.

It is also ecologically unsustainable. There is not enough food, water, energy, housing, public services etc., to go around.

Ordinary people are beginning to realise that they have been lied to for years and that they have not benefited, but those who fed them the lie have reaped the harvest for themselves.

Our 'prosperity' over the last few decades has all been built on the constant growth ideology, and nothing else.

This has been fed by a number of scams engineered by the Lib/Lab/Con politicians:

- The benefits scam has allowed people to live their whole lives at the expense of the taxpayer. Although never earning a penny, the politicians enabled the workshy to spend freely in the shops, keeping up the constant growth in the High Street.

- The mass importation of ‘cheap’ labour from the Third World to drive wages down, which creates more 'growth' in their massaged figures. These figures only included taxes paid by these immigrants, and never the total costs of mass immigration incurred by the taxpayer.

- The creation of a housing shortage which increased the 'value' of houses. With this increased 'value,' you've got it: more 'growth.'

The whole economy of the West has been built on a flawed and dishonestly manipulated ideology — and it is now falling apart.

The politicians from the Lib/Lab/Con, who have swamped our country with people from all over the world —against our wishes and to our detriment — and their big business 'friends' who pay them handsomely to betray the British people, are the only ones who benefit from this constant growth ideology.

Whether people believe me or not — I ask anyone to show me a politician from these parties who has financially suffered the way that the British people are now suffering.

I cannot think of one.

The European Union seeks to fully integrate all of Africa into the European monetary zone by 2050, its president Jose Manuel Barroso has announced. This move will inevitably lead to full political integration as well.

The plan, revealed at the EU-Africa Summit held this week in Tripoli, Libya, seeks to create an expanded Eurozone into Africa which will add another 2.5 billion people from 80 African countries into a “new alliance between Europe and Africa,” European Commission president Mr Barroso said.

“We have come to Tripoli with the fascinating long-term perspective of a Euro-African economic area in mind, an area which will provide opportunities for 2.5 billion citizens by 2050,” Mr Barroso, who is a “former” member of the Portuguese Communist Party, said.

“The economic and financial crisis is not over yet. But as we work to emerge from it, new avenues for Africa and Europe to restore and accelerate growth are opened,” he added.

The recent crisis in Greece and the ongoing crises in Ireland and Spain show the Eurozone does not even function effectively within Europe.

The primary reason for the Eurozone malfunction within Europe are the differences in economic output and makeup in these European nations, which leads to discordances in debt levels, trade figures and other critical economic indicators.

The vast disparities between African economies and European economies make a combined currency zone utter madness.

In fact, the economies of most African states make Greece look like some perfectly functioning Swiss Bank.

Africa is the world's poorest inhabited continent. Of the 175 countries reviewed in the United Nations' Human Development Report 2003, 25 African nations ranked lowest amongst the nations of the world.

The African Economic Outlook, an annual reference book-journal which focuses on the economics of most African countries, is published by the OECD Development Centre and the African Development Bank.

This journal pointed out that the economies of China and India have grown rapidly, and Latin America has experienced moderate growth, while Africa, in contrast, “has stagnated and even regressed in terms of foreign trade, investment, per capita income, and other economic growth measures.”

The African economic disaster runs contrary to modern economic theory, which claims that increased population growth and urbanisation leads to economic development.

In Africa, precisely the opposite has happened. By any measure, endemic warfare, unrest, corruption, despotic regimes and poverty have increased in Africa, and not decreased.

All of Africa (encompassing 52 countries including the relatively better-off North African Arab states and the minority white population of South Africa) has a gross domestic product (GDP, nominal) of only $1.2 billion (2008 figures supplied by the International Monetary Fund).

This equates to 2 percent of the world’s total GDP of around $60 billion.

Europe’s GDP (nominal), by contrast, stood in 2008 at $22.2 billion, nearly a quarter of the world’s total GDP.

To make matters worse, there is no correlation in Africa between natural resources and quality of life. Angola, for example, has large diamond and oil resources, but is a textbook case of poverty and destruction.

African nations dominate the lower reaches of the UN Human Development Index. Infant mortality is high, while life expectancy, literacy, and education are all low.

Although liberals have tried to invent many excuses for the ongoing disaster in Africa (mostly consisting of blaming whites for “colonisation”), the reality is that the primary cause of Africa’s backwardness is the astoundingly low IQ levels prevalent on that continent.

As discussed in the June 2005 issue of Psychology, Public Policy and Law, a journal of the American Psychological Association, the average IQ in sub-Saharan Africa is 70.

Bearing in mind that this is the average, this figure means that half of all Africans have an IQ below 70. Most of those scoring above 70 will be clustered in the 70-80 range, with the rest flattening out sharply as the IQ rises (as is the case with all IQ ‘bell curve’ graphs).

The shocking meaning of this statistic takes on an added dimension when posited against the definitions of IQ levels as detailed in a psychology-industry standard handbook, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), issued by the American Psychiatric Association in 1994.

According to that book, an IQ of between 71 and 84 is officially classified as “borderline intellectual functioning” while an IQ below 70 is officially classified as “mild mental retardation.”

In their book, IQ and the Wealth of Nations, Dr Richard Lynn, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and Dr Tatu Vanhanen, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Tampere, Tampere, Finland, found that differences in national income (in the form of per capita gross domestic product) correlate with differences in the average national intelligence quotient (IQ).

The European Commission’s plan to integrate all of Africa into the Eurozone is the precursor to full political integration, as has already been mapped out in Europe.

This move, along with the equally insane mass immigration policies pursued by all the governing parties in Europe, will ensure that Europe will die — unless patriots from all European nations act together to avoid this catastrophe.

A Wikileaks-leaked US Embassy cable from 2008 quoted Tory Foreign Secretary William Hague assuring visiting American senators that his party “shared the Labour foreign policy agenda” in waging war on Afghanistan.

The revelation, which has confirmed that there is in fact no difference at all between Labour and Tories, also showed that the only reason why the Tory government had not committed more troops to Iraq was political, or, as Mr Hague explained, “the moment had passed.”

The meeting, held in David Cameron’s office while he was Leader of the Opposition on 20 March 2008, included US Senators John McCain, Joseph Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, accompanied by Senate staff Richard Fontaine and Dan Serchuk, Poloff Kirsten Schulz and the American ambassador in London.

The Tory attendees were listed as Mr Cameron, Mr Hague, George Osborne, Liam Fox, Michael Howard, Dame Pauline Neville-Jones and Chief of Staff Edward Llewellyn.

The cable said that “Hague noted the Conservatives largely share the Labour foreign policy agenda.”

It continued: “Cameron said Prime Minister Brown did not have the political support to increase the British troop presence in Iraq, saying ‘that moment has passed.’

“Hague seconded Cameron's assessment,” the cable said.

Significantly, Mr Cameron then asked Senator McCain if British plans for a withdrawal from Iraq should continue, “given that [Her Majesty’s Government] HMG could not both maintain a presence in Iraq and build up its role in Afghanistan.”

The cable went on to spell this out in detail: “Cameron told McCain that he and his party focused on Afghanistan as the key foreign police issue.

“This was due, not least, to the timeline for when the Conservatives might come into office (2010 or 2009 at the earliest) and the fact that British troops were meant to be out of Iraq by then.”

This comment reveals two things about the Tories: firstly, Mr Cameron in effect admitted that British foreign policy is dictated by American policy, and secondly that the “withdrawal from Iraq” was in fact merely an excuse to redeploy in greater strength in Afghanistan — and not a desire to end British involvement in foreign wars.

In response, Senator McCain said he understood that the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown “intended to withdraw British troops prior to the next election.”

The cable then quoted Mr Hague as saying that “Brown politically could not do otherwise,” confirming once again that the issue of party popularity was being put before the lives and interests of British soldiers.

* The cable also revealed that the Tories had been slavishly pursuing another American foreign policy aim since 2006, namely that of “pushing” for economic sanctions against Iran.

In response to a demand from Senator McCain that “Europe cut off all credit to Iran,” Mr Hague said “he and the Conservatives had been pushing for this for the last two years,” the cable said.

“Hague and Cameron alleged that the release of the National Intelligence Assessment had set back this effort,” it said.

The National Intelligence Assessment (NIA) to which Mr Hague referred was a report from the US’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI) which proved that Iran had no nuclear weapons, as continually alleged by the neo-con establishment of which the Conservative Party is firmly part.

Demographic change which propelled the non-white portion of the Barking electorate to 50 percent was the reason why the Labour Party won that election, writes regular British National Party website commentator “Edith.”

I have just watched "The Battle For Barking" on Channel 4 oD — what a dramatic film, very well made, and if the director intended to present the BNP badly she failed. In fact, I think she intended to tell the truth, and the truth showed that we are decent and honest, with no slick PR systems and vast funds like Labour — and that we are addressing a very real problem not an imaginary one. 

The main thing though, after the sheer pleasure of watching all our leaders and supporters working so hard and being so calm, courageous and funny in spite of all the aggro, is a terrible mathematical reality which propelled me to look up some statistics.

In 2001 the official population of the UK was 59 million.

Of this 4.6 million was non-white — that is 8 per cent and did not seem too alarming at the time to most of us.

However, if we had looked closer, we would have been alarmed because in 1991 the non-white population was 3 million.

So 1.6 million had been added in ten years. In fact, it was probably double that unofficially but 1.6 million is already quite enough to be a prediction of doom given the ability of humans to multiply. 

There are no census figures for any year later than 2001.

But taking the borough of Barking and Dagenham, its Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic  (BAME) population leapt from 8 percent in 2001 to an estimated 40 percent in 2008, and probably 50 percent by 2010.

(Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic - BAME, this is Labour's pet and the Tories will compete for its affection too once it gets dominant in more constituencies). 

What happened? The electorate is now 73,000 instead of 58,000 in 2005 — but that is because 3 wards were added to the constituency of Barking adding 21,000 electors and taking off a few thousand from a 4th ward —  and none of the new wards was any less "white" than the rest of Barking.

So what happened? The same thing that is happening or about to happen all over the UK.

A lot of elderly white people died. Anyone white of any age who could get out, got out of Barking and went somewhere where non-whites are still 8 percent (but they went with a sinking feeling that this won't stay at 8 percent for long).

A lot of white people didn't have 5 or 6 children in 1991 or before, and lot of non-white residents and non-white newcomers had 5 or 6 children in 1991 or before, and those children were 18 or older by 2010. 

That is how the BAME population of Barking became at least 50 percent, so the BAME proportion of the electorate would also be at least 50 percent.

Thus Labour won with ease — and would have won even if every white person in Barking had voted Tory, or every white person had voted BNP. 

In the UK, the white population is falling (if you discount immigration), as white people have less children and older white people die (this is happening all over Western Europe actually, if you discount immigration).

This could create a blissful situation where our population is once again sustainable (around 30 or 40 million).

It is starting to happen in Japan now because Japan does not allow much immigration — and contrary to stupid press reports, it is going to make life in Japan much better for everybody (especially the young) by reducing overpopulation dramatically and giving Japanese children a decent life of full employment, low prices, plentiful housing, etc. at the small “cost” of having to look after their own family in old age for a very short while. 

But, at the moment all governments are smashing our happiness and well-being to pieces by encouraging millions of immigrants to not only keep the population at 60 million but vastly increase it to 70 million and beyond.

They are robbing all our children of a future, whether they go to university or not. Why? It is criminal — genocidal in effect, whether the genocide is intended or not. 

I think quite a lot of people still haven't quite understood that what has happened to Barking is going to happen to the whole UK even if immigration stops totally from today.

It seems too fantastic, when white Britons formed 92 per cent of the population in 2001.

But Barking was a majority white constituency in 2001.

Look at it now, ten years later. And no-one did anything — a bit of electoral register shenanigans maybe — but it wasn't mainly down to fraud.

It just seems like fraud because the reality is too hard to believe.

I get so frustrated sometimes with the mass complacency! Argh!....

I know I Was not meant to be a mindless follower yet we are corralled and treated like mindless sheep! Oh I am so tired of the...e oppression..the most frightening part is that most commoners are more insightful than the average politician...the only thing that sets the two apart is fear! What they don' seem to understand is that their lack of action is swiftly designing a society that they will need to fear MUCH more than ANYTHING that exists now! I pray each night before I close my eyes not for the current powers that be , for I liken them to a monolith of stone...one mind, a heart as hard as stone and so dense that they may only be altered if completely demolished!
Who I pray for is you, me , the store clerk with 3 young children. I pray for them to come to terms with their own unhappiness and rather than spend time spinning the rodent exercise wheel of finger pointing, just have one true moment of clarity and claim responsibility. It is a cleansing thing as much as that of any confession. We must admit that although most of all the folks controlling our lives are blind deaf and dumb, at some point we must accept with great acceptance , that we have become deaf dumb and blind as well! We simply live on opposite sides of the coin! We are blind by their rhetoric and flashy propaganda. We have become deaf to their sly agendas that they slip into law under our very noses and dumb, yes the one we are most guilty of.... If your 3 of your children were killed on the street in front of your house, how long would it tale the average parent to march to their local offices and demand to have speed bumps put in place to force drivers to slow down to protect the safety of the innocents? It would be dumb not to, right? The point is this. We would never get used to the idea of our children being slaughtered in front of our own home right? You say RIGHT! However, how many of our children have been slaughtered in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Yet still no mass storming of the politicians!
NO ONE WILL MAKE THE CHANGES BUT US!!!!!!! THE CHANGES WILL NOT BE MADE WITHOUT US!!!!! We are two of the most powerful nations in the world! Who makes us that way? It is we of course! The regular folks. It is irrational to think that a hand full of men in political offices are responsible for the power and strength of an entire Nation! No. ! We are the power of our Nations... Our blood sweat and tears, our sacrifices and our children who march! Be afraid to fight out against a hand full of tired old men and a few women who preach power? Or be afraid of the entire population of your country who REALLY HAS THE POWER AND CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING WITH IT? That is what is frightening and fearful... And the knowledge of our complacency is the FEAT ON WHICH THE EVIL FEW FUEL THEIR PERCEIVED POWER! We must feed ourselves this fuel and stand ready for battle! I shall be tired nor fear no more! The British National Party’s campaign to halt the building of a mosque in Bletchley Park to prevent the further Islamic colonisation of Buckinghamshire is in full swing with a growing public demonstration forming at the venue, reports Eastern Region press officer and Milton Keynes organiser Kieren Trent.

Speaking to BNP News from the scene this afternoon, Mr Trent said that support “is growing at the demonstration against the proposed mosque in Bletchley.

“Local residents are fully behind the local BNP campaign to encourage the local council to refuse planning permission for a pub to be turned into a mosque,” Mr Trent said.

Although Bletchley Park is best known for its World War II role in breaking the German Enigma codes, the estate was formerly part of the Manor of Eaton, which was noted in the Domesday Book of 1086. It is thus a double tragedy that this fine part of British history is threatened with colonisation, and the BNP is dedicated to preventing the same fate befalling Bletchley Park as has so many other parts of Britain

It is hoped to update this story at regular intervals.

Would-be Labour Party leader and former Foreign Secretary David Miliband diverted taxpayer-funded foreign aid to Sri Lanka in order to win votes for his party from the Tamil community in Britain, the latest Wikileaks US-cable scandal has revealed.

The shocking display of rampant corruption and abuse of power was revealed to a US embassy worker in London, who then relayed it in a cable sent to the American state department for evaluation.

In the cable, released by Wikileaks, Tim Waite, a Foreign Office team leader on Sri Lanka, was quoted as explaining why Mr Miliband appeared to be so interested in events in Sri Lanka.

“Waite said that much of (the government) and ministerial attention to Sri Lanka is due to the ‘very vocal’ Tamil diaspora in the UK, numbering over 300,000, who have been protesting in front of parliament since 6 April,” Richard Mills, a political officer at the US Embassy in London, wrote in the cable.

“He said that with UK elections on the horizon and many Tamils living in Labour constituencies with slim majorities, the government is paying particular attention to Sri Lanka, with Miliband recently remarking to Waite that he was spending 60 per cent of his time at the moment on Sri Lanka.”

* According to the Department for International Development, Sri Lanka is a “middle income country” and the department’s bilateral “programme in the country closed in 2006 when Sri Lanka graduated to middle income status.”

“However, DFID still contributes to Sri Lanka through the Conflict Prevention Fund which totalled £2 million in 2010/11.”

This is not the full picture, as the DFID website freely admitted: “The end of the [Tamil Tiger] conflict in May 2009 created almost 280,00 internally displaced people (IDPs). The majority of these remained detained in camps in the north of Sri Lanka until October 2009 when the Government started a ‘crash’ returns programme to return them to their homes.

“In response to needs on the ground, DFID has committed £13.5 million of humanitarian funding to Sri Lanka since September 2008.”

A recent referendum in Switzerland, which approved a measure to expel foreign criminals, has contrasted vividly with the latest mad ConDem regime’s policy of not even jailing knife crime plague perpetrators, who are majority black African immigrant in origin.

In a shocking development, Tory 'Justice' Secretary Ken Clarke has drawn up proposals which will throw away yet another key Conservative Party election pledge, this time one to put up to 8,200 more knife offenders behind bars at any one time.

The Tory election manifesto specifically said that all knife offenders, regardless of the seriousness of the offence, would face custody, even for possession.

However, according to Mr Clarke’s leaked policy document, “robust community-based punishments are an appropriate and more effective response for adult knife possession offenders.”

The paper, marked “restricted,” says that the “coalition agreement did not mention knife crime and there is a case that it would be better not to include any mention in the Green Paper.”

“The Youth Justice System has a range of intensive community-based punishments and these seem to be the right basis for knife offenders,” Mr Clarke wrote in his new paper.

During the election campaign, David Cameron added that his party wanted to “send a clear message that carrying a knife is completely inexcusable and unacceptable in a civilised society.”

It is a well-established fact, as proven by figures from Scotland Yard and elsewhere, that the majority of knife-crime in Britain’s cities are perpetrated by black African origin immigrants and their descendants.

Meanwhile, Swiss voters have just endorsed a measure proposed by the Swiss People’s Party to automatically expel foreigners found guilty of serious crimes.

The Swiss government has issued a notice that the government will set up a working group before the Christmas break to begin looking at how the foreign criminals vote can be implemented.

One-third of all violent crimes in Switzerland are committed by foreigners, according to official statistics.

The Conservative Party’s new policy has already announced the scrapping of a prison building policy in favour of cutting the jail population.

In addition, they have also abandoned their election promise to abolish the Human Rights Act.

Nick Griffin MEP is to launch a court action to get the Barking and Dagenham election result overturned and the “liar” Margaret Hodge banned from parliament using the Phil Woolas court case as a precedent, the party has announced.

The move to strike Ms Hodge’s election down comes after the set of outrageous lies told by the Labour candidate during the election and broadcast by the Channel Four documentary, ‘The Battle for Barking.’

Ms Hodge was recorded as telling a public meeting of mainly ethnics that the BNP wants “everyone who is sitting in this room to be expelled from this country, dropped from an aeroplane, dropped from a helicopter, left in the sea.”

Mr Woolas was recently the subject of a court action under section 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983.by his Liberal Democrat opponent for telling deliberate lies during his campaign.

The case against Mr Woolas was proved after it was shown that he had made a "false statement of fact in relation to that candidate’s character or conduct.

Ms Hodges’s remarks that the British National Party wants to “expel” everyone and drop them into the sea from aircraft make Mr Woolas’s lies look tame, and are a clear an obvious breach of the same law which saw the Oldham and Saddleworth MP struck down.

Mr Griffin has announced his intention of pursuing this matter through the courts “until the liar Hodge is booted out of Parliament and barred from standing again.”

The British National Party’s Adam Walker has made the banning of halal meat in local schools his main policy in an upcoming by-election in his hometown of Spennymoor, County Durham, reports local activist Stephen Palmer.

A recent Freedom of Information request by Adam's brother, Mark Walker, revealed that nearly half (16 out of 37) of the county's secondary schools and 32 of its 240 primary schools serve the ritually slaughtered meat to pupils.

"I think it's outrageous that so many of our schools serve halal to their pupils, especially in a county in which only around one percent of the population is Muslim," said Mr Walker.

"This is another instance of our politically correct government putting the interests of the vocal minority ahead of those of the indigenous majority. If I am elected to the town council, I shall put forward a motion for the banning of this barbarically slaughtered food."

Other issues in the campaign include opposition to drastic local budget cuts and waste of Council funds, and a tough approach to the town's rising instances of crime and anti-social behaviour.

Mr Walker will be standing for election in the Low Spennymoor and Tudhoe Grange ward of Spennymoor on Thursday 16 December 2010. He stood in the region for a county council election in 2008 and polled an impressive 933 votes, coming a close third behind the two elected Labour councillors.

This was a speech on the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of religion or belief, disability or sexual orientation I was going to deliver to my Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee (LIBE), yesterday morning.

However, the debate in LIBE co-incided with my voting in AFCO on the citizens' initiatives Contribution, so I was unable to attend.
But this is what I would have said:
"This is a splendid liberal proposition that tries to be kind to everybody but succeeds only in displaying its own internal contradictions. Most religions, however much good liberals might disapprove, insist on having strong opinions on human conduct of which they approve and human conduct of which they disapprove. They often seem to be particularly concerned with sexual conduct of which they disapprove. In these areas, we can either have freedom of religion for their adherents or we can have freedom of sexual minorities from being offended. We cannot have both.
The principle with which we have been presented is of equal treatment of persons regardless of religion or belief. It does not say that religious doctrines should be immune from criticism or attack. However, the law is increasingly being used in member states to prevent such attack on one religious doctrine - Islam. Geert Wilders, somebody for whom I hold no particular brief, is being prosecuted in the Netherlands for criticising Muslim political and religious doctrines. In England a fifteen year old girl was arrested last Thursday for burning a copy of the Koran and positing it on Facebook. I can see no particular point in buying a copy of a religious book of which one disapproves and then setting fire to it. However, to criminalise such conduct is to protect religious doctrines as distinct from religious adherents. Furthermore, it shows scant regard for the beliefs of the book burner.
I have little sympathy even with individual book burners. However, book burning by states is an admission of totalitarianism. If we thought that book burning had disappeared with the unlamented demise of totalitarianism of the right and the left, we were quite wrong. Book burning is alive and well in many EU states."

Leaked American diplomatic cables, published online by Wikileaks, have revealed the full extent of the danger of letting Turkey join the European Union and have described that nation’s government as “permeated by Islamists” and having “neo-Ottoman [empire] visions.”

The Tory, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties are all fully committed to promoting Turkish membership of the EU and promote that country as a modern Western-aligned nation — but the leaked American documents reveal a completely different side to the Turkish government.

The cables, written by US diplomats at various stations inside and outside Turkey, reveal that:

- Turkey is undependable as a partner;

- The country’s leadership in Ankara is divided and permeated by Islamists;

- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is portrayed as having little understanding of politics beyond Ankara and of having “neo-Ottoman” visions.

- A high-ranking government adviser warned in discussions, quoted by the US diplomats, that Davutoglu would use his Islamist influence on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, describing him as "exceptionally dangerous."

- According to one US document, another adviser to the ruling AK Party remarked that Turkey wanted "to take back Andalusia and avenge the defeat at the siege of Vienna in 1683."

- The US diplomats wrote that many leading figures in the governing Justice and Development Party (AKP) were members of a Muslim fraternity and that Mr Erdogan had appointed Islamist bankers to influential positions. He gets his information almost exclusively from newspapers with close links to Islamists, they reported.

The Turkish Prime Minister recently announced during a trip to Saudi Arabia that visa restrictions on Middle Eastern nationals entering Turkey had been relaxed. 

When he was asked at a press conference if this visa liberalisation would change should Turkey join the EU, Mr Erdogan answered with a quote from the Koran:  ‘Strive for what is right, as it (by God) is commanded.”

Turkey borders Syria, Iran and Iraq, Armenia and Georgia.

In July this year, David Cameron announced that he would fight for Turkey’s admission to the EU. "Together, I want us to pave the road from Ankara to Brussels," the Tory leader was quoted as saying.

In September 2010 a national referendum took place in Turkey which resulted in a majority ‘yes’ vote favouring reforms which Mr Erdogna’s AKP to take control of the Turkish judicial system. This means that the Islamist AKP can appoint Islamic judges at its whim, mirroring the same judicial system which operates in many Middle East Islamic states.

Turkey has an estimated population of approximately 70 million and is 99 percent Muslim. If admitted to the EU, it will become that body’s first majority Muslim member state which will open the door for millions of Muslims to sweep across Western Europe and ultimately into Britain.

The Koran is not a religious book but a hate-filled manual for conquering countries and people need to read it, not burn it, British National Party leader Nick Griffin MEP has said.

Speaking during the latest BNPtv video interview from Brussels, Mr Griffin was asked about the recent arrest of a 15 year-old schoolgirl in Sandwell for allegedly burning a Koran and posting the video on YouTube.

“In fact with the Koran, it is a terrible mistake to burn it,” Mr Griffin said.

“What people need to be doing is reading the damn thing, because when you read it and you see how much hatred there is against Gentile society, against the others, against Christians, Hindus and Jews and so on,” he said.

“When you see how much hatred is in that book, then you understand what it really is. It’s not a religious thing like our Bible; it’s a manual for conquering other peoples’ countries. Don’t burn it. Read it and understand it; that’s my message.”

He also pointed out that no-one would be arrested for burning a Bible because it is “open season” on Christianity, but if anyone dares to speak out or protest about Islam, they are arrested.

British National Party MEP Nick Griffin has challenged all British Members of the European Parliament to donate their "obscene" backdated pay rise to pensioner charities.


 In a statement issued late yesterday afternoon he said:
“The early winter cold is going to kill thousands of British pensioners, including war veterans, their wives and widows,” Mr Griffin said.
It will be disgusting for British MEPs to pocket the backdated to July 2009 pay rise approved yesterday after EU judges ruled in favour of the increase.
It comes at a time when greedy energy companies are forcing millions into fuel poverty and savage government cuts are being imposed on essential services,” Mr Griffin continued.
I challenge all 72 British MEPs to donate the full amount of this pay rise to pensioner-related charities.
I don’t expect all of them to do so, as the recent Dispatches programme proved many of them have their snouts firmly in the trough.“But I do look for at least eleven others to join me to make it a traditional British dozen,” Mr Griffin continued.
Since Andrew Brons, BNP MEP for Yorkshire and the Humberside, has already agreed to do so, that leaves a minimum of ten more decent MEPs to make the same gesture.
This will amount to a combined donation of £54,000, which will make a real difference this Christmas to hundreds of pensioners. And every extra MEP joining us in doing the right thing will help dozens more,” he said.
More importantly than money however, is the fact that such a move would reveal that at least part of the political class understands the need to show solidarity with normal people.
It is time for us to set an example.
I challenge in particular those MEPs who voted against this obscene pay rise to put their money where their mouth is.
It is very easy to make a show of voting against a pay rise that you are sure the Euro pig majority will pass. Some might find it a little harder to part with their 'unwanted' windfall."

NOVEMBER 2010: NICK Griffin has signed an open letter condemning attacks on Christians in the Middle East.
The letter said:
"We, Members of the European Parliament, are deeply moved by the recent terrorist attack against the Baghdad Cathedral and by the ongoing persecution targetting Christians in the Middle East.
"We are aware of the anxiety and growing fear in the heart of Christian communities in this region. We desire to be kept informed on a regular basis of any kind of pressure, threat or attack against Christians in the Middle East.
"We, Members of the European Parliament, are determined to maintain relations with the Christians of the Middle East and to not leave them alone.
